If you have roleplayed with me you have read this phrase. Irl comes first. Real life issues are gonna come an go. Many of which are uber important. In no way should roleplay control your life, Determine Its value, or come before the truly important things.
If you can't rp due to them issues or your rping is off that's chill. In fact if your grounded i understand. When you have no watty access you can't say..
Hey dude. I'll be off for 3 weeks, months, till i earn the privilege back.
Having your device restricted is generally pretty sudden.I totally get it. Though if for any reason you know you'll be gone from a rp x amount of time it helps to let the others know you'll be off.
The message board is one great mass option for this.
It's as easy as...Hey I will be at a festival all day and won't hear my phone.
I'm going into a signal deadzone..
I'm going to the Up for a week. All easy peasy. Especially if you are in a ton of rps. You can also let the rp admins know.
Understand this is recommended for long absences. Like a day or more..
Shorter ones like meal time, being in a class, family time, church, should be no issue.
As should sleep time. Cause hey some parents be like. "Phone down here. Sleep time."
Health issues:
A number of health issues and injuries can hamper rping. I totally get if again you can't rp cause your sick. Or hurt..
Its hard enough typing without a injured hand sometimes. Now if you can't rp at all but are looking at watty any who a short can't rp blurb is nice. You don't have to go in depth. Though
Though if you have no hands at all...
I also get not replying. Then there are some health issues making it hard while you rp..
For instance a number of chronic diseases come with fatigue, brain fog ect..I myself have chronic health issues. I won't get in depth here as to them. But I know I'm not the only one.
At said point in time I pick rps that are with people I know more often then not are gonna be less picky. If your health issue effects your rping as in length, spelling, descriptiveness, you don't have to be detailed. Just say hay I'm not feeling well, or I'm hurt..
Most rpers are understanding.
Time zones:
Less of a big deal. But some places it has been cause people will spam text a person not realizing they are asleep or in school. Or not caring.
For those with no understanding of timezones... You know who you are..
Say your in The US Eastern timezone..
An the person you rp with is from Australia. In certain parts its a 12 hr difference between the zones. Meaning if its noon in Detroit, Michigan it is midnight in that part of Australia..
Now in North America alone if you count there are multiple timezones in that continent. As with any continent.
So while in The eastern zone it is 4pm.
Or 16:00 hours its like only 1pm/13:00 hours, or noon in California..For some of you I know this is news to you.. Cause some schools skipped Geography classes till highschool.
So if your roleplaying with say someone in the UK an the cease to Reply while you are in say Athens, Georgia.. And its 6 pm or 18:00 hrs in Georgia..
It's almost or is midnight there. So do not spam tag them. They need sleep more than More than your Oc. Glenda needs that cocktail served.
And don't move on just cause it's been more than five minutes..
Or 30 minute.. The person you rp with will thank you. Also remember that in these other time zones the school hours change accordingly. And many schools in other countries are much stricter about cell phone usage at school.
So just be respectful. Again IRL comes first. And do not use Irl as a excuse to control someone else's oc...
Yes you know who you are too.
