"Now," Ibiki spoke, "When you come up to hand in your paperwork you will be given a number. That number will determine where you sit to take your written test."
"Did he just say...written test?" Naruto's eye twitched. "Oh man!" He shouted in frustration.
"He's so annoying." Kankuro mumbled as everyone got in line to hand in there paperwork.
Ookami ended up being seated next to Naruto Uzumaki, on his left side; Hinata Hyuga on Naruto's right.
"Good luck." Temari whispered to Ookami as she walked by her, giving her a smile. Ookami smiled back with her eyes.
Ookami watched in the corner of her eye as she noticed the distressed Naruto beside her. He seemed frustrated and looked like he was going to be ill. The small blonde girl frowned slightly on his behalf. 'He can't be that helpless.' She thought to herself.
"U-um...Naruto.." The shy Hyuga girl said to the blue eyed boy. Both Naruto and Ookami looked over at her. This made Hinata blush. "I-I just...wanted to s-say...good luck." She then smiled at Naruto with her eyes.
Naruto smiled. "Thanks Hinata." Naruto then looked to his left to see Ookami sitting beside him, looking back at him. "Hey, I remember you from earlier, the girl with the hearing problem, right?"
Ookami deadpanned then just looked away from him, up to the board. Naruto then noticed her Sand ninja band around her right arm. "Hey, are you with those Sand Ninja's? We ran into those guys before we got here, bunch of jerks." Naruto growled, pounding his fist on the desk. This made Ookami look at him.
Her blonde bangs covered her left eye completely, but boy, did Naruto think her violet eyes were unique. "Wow, your eyes are really cool. Hehe." He grinned at her. This made Ookami blush slightly, she gave Naruto a small smile. "So what's your name?" He asked her cheerfully.
Ookami stared at him in silence for a moment then looked way back to where Gaara was sitting. He was watching her, his arms crossed. She then faced back to the front of the room, not answering Naruto's questions.
"Hey, whats wrong with you? Are you mute or something?" Naruto looked at her confused.
Thankfully Ibiki began to speak, telling them the rules of the test. Ookami was not fazed by the rules, she was smart. She knew she wouldn't have to cheat anyway. She also had confidence in her teammates to not get caught.
"BEGIN!"
In a flash Ookami picked up her pencil with her left hand and began writing her answers. She was quick, and none of the problems seemed difficult to her. Naruto noticed, and if he hadn't already felt like shit for most likely getting his team disqualified, he certainly did now.
'Wow, look at her go. This isn't even a test to her! Oh jeez, I'm so dead!' Naruto held his head in his hands.
Suddenly, Ookami stopped writing mid-word. Her whole body tensed and she zoned out, paying attention to her other senses. She could feel sand. Her body then relaxed, knowing it was Gaara, looking to get the answers off of her paper. As she started to write again she heard bark, giving the answer to one of the questions. Ookami smirked, she could understand and speak to animals. 'Must be that small dog that sits on that boy's head. He must be able to understand him.' She shook her head impressed.
Ookami then set her pencil down. She was finished. But, she noticed Naruto hadn't written anything on his paper yet. She internally sighed for the kid. Although knowing if Gaara found out he would be mad with her, she was just about to let Naruto see her answers, but then the shy Hyuga girl spoke up. Offering Naruto to copy her paper. 'Thank goodness.' Ookami rolled her eyes taking her fingers off her paper.
