I wake up on Friday morning and hurry to get ready since today is competition day. How am I supposed to win with a solo, a duet and a group dance? Only if I was perfect which I am not. I go to my closet and take the first shorts I find and put them on and I get a normal shirt and put it on followed by my ALDC team jacket.
I run downstairs running through the dance on my head. Or should I say 'dances'
"Hey mom" I greet her seeing as she is making me waffles.
"Hi Emma." My mom greets back. I quickly eat and get inside the car so we can go to the ALDC to meet up with everyone else. Once we arrive I get on the bus and sit next to Brynn the whole ride. Brynn and I decide that we wanted to watch Riverdale on the way there so she brought her laptop.
"Are you excited for the teen choice awards tomorrow." Brynn asks me once we are in movement.
"I guess." I reply bluntly looking down.
"What's wrong?" She asks.
"You know. Mackenzie." I eye roll at the mention of the name.
"You won't even get to see her properly. There will be no time." Brynn states which partially is true. I know that Brynn is really sad because of that. Her and Kenzie are best friends and I need to understand that.
"Besides that you're excited right? We were nominated for best Reality tv show." She says.
"Ya, actually. This is gonna be my first award show. Did you vote for Maddie for choice dancer?"
"Yup. I voted for Maddie because Chloe doesn't even dance anymore. Does she?" Brynn answers.
"I haven't heard much of her. Only that she is doing movies and stuff." I reply. " Shall we watch riverdale now?"
"Yes, we shall."

We arrive at the competition and I start getting ready for my solo which is first. I quickly put on my baby blue costume and put my hair into a tight bun.
"Emma. Are you ready for today?" Abby asks.
"Yes." I reply nodding my head.
