Eren's Nightmare (ON HOLD)

Chapter 9

The moment Eren had reached his old room he seemed to find a new burst of energy, quickly cleaning out his few belongings and placing them in a small box to carry to the corporals room. He was exited, to say the least, though he wasnt precisely sure why. He simply shrugged it off, taking one last look around the room, not knowing when or if he'd ever be back again, then exited, closing the door behind him. The box Eren had placed his stuff in wasn't that heavy, but it was a little too big, making it very awkward to carry. Eren silently thanked the gods that Levi's room wasnt too far away.

He quickly reached the room, pushing the partially closed door open with his weight before placing the box next to the door so he could get a better look around. He realized he had never really been in Levi's room for any prolonged period of time except for that night he had the nightmare, when it was dark and stormy, the dim lighting having made it near impossible to see. Eren let his eyes wander over the room; it was like seeing the room for the first time. One of the first things he had noticed was the overly tidy nature of the room, everything lined up in an organized fashion and not a hint of dust. Eren made sure he was very careful to heed the corporals warning of not touching anything, not wanting to feel his wrath on the first night he would be staying. The room was slightly bigger than the typical rooms, a desk like Eren's lined up against the wall on the right side of the room, facing the solid, plain wall rather than a window, and a small deep red sofa lined up against the outermost wall. On the left side of the room was a bed which was relatively larger and in a lot better condition than the twin sized bed in Eren's room, probably a queen sized or slightly smaller judging off the space it filled. On the right side of the bed was a small door Eren figured led to a private bathroom, and on the left was an elegant dark wood wardrobe. There were no pictures or posters on the walls, just a window on the outermost wall overlooking the base. Eren couldnt help but think 'spoiled clean freak', shaking his head in a bemused manner.

Eren had just started pondering over what he should do with his stuff when he heard the click of the door and turned to see the raven haired man in the door way, covered in sweat with a look of mild annoyance plastered on his face. "Um, H-hey corporal." Eren managed, alerting the man of his presence, "Is everything okay?", Levi glanced at the younger boy, almost having forgotten that Eren was going to be moving into his room, and sighed gruffly, "Yeah, Its just getting so hot out," He commented, making a face of disgust, "I'm going to go get a shower," Eren nodded, not wanting to get in the grumpy corporals way. "Um, Levi, before you go, where should I put my stuff?" Eren asked, shifting slightly, not knowing if he was allowed to touch anything yet or not. Levi sighed and glanced around the room, seemingly looking for a suitable location before responding with, "You can hang your clothes in the right side of the wardrobe, everything else you can place in the bottom desk drawer. You can sleep on the sofa or the left side of the bed, I honestly dont care. Dont make a mess," And with that the older male vanished into the bathroom, closing the door behind him. Eren sighed, but decided to take this opportunity to busy himself with placing his few possessions in their dedicated locations, trying not to leave too many smudges on the overly clean furniture.

Levi, having the privacy of the bathroom all to himself, quickly stripped off the filthy uniform and tossed it into the hamper in the corner, wasting no time to step into the warm, steamy shower. He let the warm water run over his tense muscles, stretching slightly as they loosened, breathing out a sigh of relief. God that felt good. He stood stationary for a while, letting the water run over his toned body, washing away the grime, dirt, and stress of the day, helping his muscles to relax and allowing him to finally think clearly. He let his thoughts drift a little and soon found himself puzzling over the younger boy that would now be staying in his room. He found himself thinking about how Eren had seemed kind of intimidated when he had walked into the room today, and thought back to that night Eren had stayed in his room with him, when he slept in his bed, and how comfortable he had been then. Levi didnt want Eren to feel uncomfortable or pressured about staying in his room, even though he had already kind of conveyed a pressing urgency of Eren not touching anything. Levi sighed slightly, knowing he would have to give a little in order to make the boy more comfortable with this arrangement, but for some reason in his mind it seemed worth it. He decided to talk to Eren a little after the shower. Once again his mind wandered, thinking about how Eren respected him, looked up to him in a way, how he always had these wide adorable eyes, so eager to please. Levi froze; did he really just think that? He shook his head, attempting to shift his attention to another subject, instead troubling his mind with the process of cleaning his hair as a distraction. After a few more minutes the raven haired man stepped out of the shower feeling brand new, and a hella lot better than he had just moments before. He quickly towel dried his hair till it was just slightly damp, then wrapped the towel around his waist.
