Eren sat at his desk, looking out his bedroom window as the sun set and darkness moved in. the young boy began to rearrange his room, lay out his uniform, and do almost anything except getting ready for bed. He knew it was childish, but he didn't want to face the nightmares again. He didn't want to tell anyone about the dreams because he was afraid they would think he was pathetic or weak. Mikasa would probably try to protect him even more, something he definitely wanted to avoid. Levi already knew about it, but he didn't want to talk to him after Levi's annoyance at his questioning. He heard someone call lights out and began to panic a little. He slipped his pajamas on just as the lights shut off. He yelped in surprise, and leaping into bed surrounded himself with blankets and pillows, trying to calm down. He lay completely still in the darkness, watching the shadows dance a cross the walls in a moonlit masquerade. Soon enough he began to drift off into an uneasy sleep.

The Houses were crushed, the streets were stained red with blood. His fellow Survey Corps members were dropping like flies. He flew by on his 3D maneuver gear, trying to ignore the screams. All of a sudden it was as though an invisible wall materialized in front of him and Eren slammed into it, stopping him in his tracks. He crumbled onto the ground, pain faintly flooding his body. Something was defiantly broken. He propped himself up and quickly surveyed his surroundings, checking for any approaching threats. The only titan in sight was a 15 meter normal, who was busy with another victim. Eren looked at the giants hand closely and realized that the creature was holding someone, bringing them closer to its mouth. Eren squinted, narrowing his vision to try and see who the titan had in its hand. Who was he going to lose next? Eren strained his eyes, trying to get a glimpse of the limp body being lifted up, towards death. five feet tall, Raven black hair, and a green survey corp cape. No, it can't be... "LEVI! LEVI LOOK OUT!" Eren's yell was intensified by the pain of the broken bones. It echoed off the walls of the buildings yet Levi remained limp. Was he dead? No, no he couldn't be... "LEVI! LEVI!" Eren watched in terror as the monster brought the corporal to its mouth and bite down.

"NOOOOOOOOO!" Eren shot up out of bed in a cold sweat and filled with terror from his newest dream. He curled up on his bed with his head between his knees, shivering under his covers. Faint sobs escaped his lips as he cowered under the sheets. Levi, Levi had died. Why was it Levi? Why didn't he come to wake me up when I screamed? He felt terrified by the next thought that popped into his head. Was Levi okay? He hadn't come in to wake me. Is he alright? Did the titans really get him? Eren felt like an idiot for entertaining such ideas, but he couldn't shake them. He felt a strong urge to confirm these thoughts as false, and definitely didn't want to fall asleep again. Eren shakily crept over to the door and silently padded down the hall way to Levi's room. He paused outside the door, standing alone in the cold hallway. Maybe this is a bad idea... the sudden crash of thunder startled the boy, causing him to yelp and dive into the nearest room, which just so happened to be Levi's. "Eren? What are you doing?" Levi was lying in bed facing the door, still awake. "Corporal! Uh, sorry, I didn't know you were still awake." Levi looked at the boy questioningly. "More nightmares?" Eren reluctantly nodded. The room was cold and the rain pelted the roof continuously. It must have been raining for a while, why hadn't he noticed? "What do you want Eren?" Levi didn't sound annoyed but consoling. "You didn't come in to wake me when I screamed so I wasn't sure if you were okay or not..." "Why wouldn't I be?" Eren fell silent, obviously upset. "Eren?" The boy stood a yard from the doorway shivering, he looked like he was about to start sobbing. "Hey, Eren...I'm okay alright?" The boy nodded but didn't budge. Was he afraid to go back to his room? "Come here Eren." Eren seemed unsure but did as the corporal said, and cautiously approached the bedside. "Lie down." Eren was shocked, unsure if he should obey. "Or do you want to go back to your room?" Faced with those two options Eren immediately crawled into bed next to Levi. Levi pulled some blankets over the smaller boy before asking, "Do you want to talk about it?" Eren shook his head and remained awkwardly lying on the edge of the bed. Without thinking Levi wrapped his arms around Eren, pulling him into a hug. Eren remained surprised for a few seconds before burying his head into the warmth of Levi's chest. Levi felt Eren's muscles relax as his breathing became normal and calm. Soon enough both boys were in a deep peaceful sleep, floating through a nightmare free world of wonder.
