Phoenix POV
I groaned as I started to wake up. I was waking up like this way too often I thought to myself. I shook my head as I slowly started to remember what happened. The magic that had taken me here was far too familiar; it was Andre's magic. Slowly, I prised my eyes open just to find that I was blindfolded. I soon became aware of the fact that I was surrounded by something cold and wet. Mentally I rolled my eyes. Of course Andre would make me into a human popsicle. Carefully, I started to raise my temperature until I felt the ice start to melt and the blindfold started to singe. Then I heard it.
There was a scuffling sound and a sickly sweet smell started to fill the room. I froze as I realized what it was. A martel demon. The most horrifying demon to live in Hell. It was said that even Satan himself feared these monsters. They had the appearances of a human, the most beautiful human you have ever seen, yet their nature couldn't be more evil. Just by looking at you, they could cause unimaginable pain and if you should ever kiss one, they could take your soul and it would be in eternal torture.
It didn't surprise me that Andre had managed to get them, they were always glad to cause pain and suffering, but the fact that he truly hated me this much, that he was willing for me to feel pain unlike any other, was what truly scared me. I knew that it was my fault that our parents were dead and that I had more power then half the coven combined but still, it's not like I haven't suffered either. I have had to live with the guilt of killing our parents since I was 8 and as I was almost 17 now, it has been for almost 9 years.
But back to the present, the blindfold had been burned through by now and I watched the Martel demons circling me laughing an eerie unnatural sound that filled me with terror. I took a deep breath to calm myself and looked around. There were 3 demons, 2 males and one female. They all had pale blond hair and baby blue eyes filled with mischief. But that was on the outside. Gathering up my nerve, I asked them the question that I already knew the answer to.
"Did Andre send you to torture me?"
They all stopped at the sound of my voice and turned towards me. The female grinned at me while the males smirked. It was the female who answered Ina high pitched voice that I hope to never listen to again.
"But of course sweetheart. Your brother loves you so much that he decided to let us visit you in your lonely prison cell." They all laughed and my heart felt heavy in my chest. I thought of all the things that made me happy, hoping that maybe if I ignored them, then they would leave me alone. Of course, I had no such luck.
They were all still watching me in glee, probably waiting for me to start sobbing and begging them to let me go. Unfortunately, I had no energy for it and even if I did, I still wouldn't give them the satisfaction. I settled for glaring at them silently, fuming at the fact that just as I had finally been reunited with the one person in the world who actually cared about me, it would be my brother that took it all away.
I felt my eyes turning red like they always did when I lost control of my emotions and I felt small licks of fire running down my hair like fiery highlights. The demons all froze and stared at me in shock. I knew why. These demons were hell creatures and seeing another creature who lived and thrived in fire must have confused them, as I was obviously not a demon. Taking advantage of their distraction, I heated my body temperature as high as I could. The ice around me fell off in a cascade of boiling water, steam floating in the air fogging it and making it impossible to see.
I could hear the demons hissing as the steam got thicker. I ran towards where the door was and tried to unlock it. By now the steam was starting to settle and I knew I only had seconds before they would see me so I did the only thing I could.
"Everybody freeze and stop moving!" The demons responded immediately and froze in place. I sent out a burst of fire and all the remaining steam evaporated in a flash. My eyes focused on the 3 bewildered demons still standing as still as statues. I turned towards them and told them in the sternest voice that I could manage,
