What Ifs sung by Kane Brown ft. Lauren Alaina

Anna nervously fidgeted in his front seat. Kristoff and her had been dating for a little while now. Being as she's Anna, questions had been keeping her up every night and she wanted to ask him about it. Sure, some of them she was probably just overreacting, but she wanted to know the truth.

They pulled over on the side of an unused gravel road on the cool, summer night. Kristoff rolled down the windows and took a deep breath. The smell of the dew on green grass almost sent shivers down his spine. "Kristoff."

"Hm? Yeah?" He replied, turning to look at her. She was the prettiest girl he had ever sent eyes on. She tugged on one of her braids, staring her blue eyes forward. "I just... I have a couple of questions." She stuttered.

"Oh, sure. Anything." He quickly answered, shutting the truck off. They sat in peaceful silence, hearing the crickets chirping around them.

Anna tapped her hands on her knees. Okay. How was she supposed to say this? "I'm not just some fool playing a game. I want to take this relationship seriously and I want to make sure we're on the same step." She began.

"Yeah, yeah. I feel the same. I'm not just with you just to be in a relationship. I want this to work." Kristoff agreed, moving closer to her. She smiled, tilting her head. At least that was the same.

"Good, good." She nodded. Kristoff noticed her freckles, covering her shoulders. She tapped her right foot, unsure what to say. He looked outside, seeing all the stars above them. Tonight was a perfect.

Why doesn't he just kiss me already? Anna thought to herself. She glanced up at him, looking into his caring eyes. Even though they've been together for a short time, he's already been the sweetest guy.

Am I supposed to pull her close? Kristoff questioned to himself. Breaking out of his shell, he slung his arm over her seat, inviting her to move closer to him. She leaned in, accepting his offer.

They softly giggled at each other. This was sort of awkward, but it was cute. He's always been a little socially awkward, but she always found it sweet. She felt his strong, yet gentle arm softly rest on her. For some reason, it made her feel safer.

Am I supposed to kiss her now? Kristoff asked himself. He's never been good at this stuff, especially not around her. She's so cute, so perfect. He didn't want to ruin what they had. Would she even like it? Only one way to find out.

She watched his lips slowly lean towards her. Ready for the impact, she puckered up and placed her lips to his. When they pulled apart, her heart began to flutter. She had never felt a kiss like that before. Would this be her last first kiss?

Did she even like it? Kristoff thought. He has always been self critical. What if she hated it and dumped him for it? What if she thought he drooled all over her? Asking himself these questions was like asking if the sun would someday stop burning or if the sky would fall. He could worry about them 'till the world stopped turnin'.

"So, um, I few just a few more questions that have been bugging me." Anna softly chuckled as she brushed her braids behind her. God, that kiss was perfect. Was this a sign of them belonging together?

"Before that, do you mind if I ask you something, actually?" Kristoff nervously replied. God, this was terrifying. Now he realized why he hadn't asked her out all those years ago. One wrong move and he could send his long time crush running.

"Sure." She smiled, glad he had questions too. It made her seem like she wasn't the only one who had worries. Maybe she wasn't the only one who felt that kiss.

"What if I mess you up?" He stumbled. Anna cocked her head and rose her eyebrow. What was he talking about? "I mean, you're so popular and sweet. I'm just... I'm just Kristoff. The guy who constantly makes a fool of himself." He chuckled.

"Please, if anyone makes a fool of themselves, it's me. I'm the one who dated Hans for three years. I pushed my sister to leave town. I'm just... Anna." She softly replied, trying to show him that he wasn't the only one.

He softly chuckled, unsure what to say. Everyone knew she didn't push her sister out of town. Elsa had left because she didn't feel like she belonged. The Hans part... Yeah, that was true. That was stupid.

"Kristoff, " Anna started. "What if this goes south? What if you break my heart in two, then what? What if one of these days I go and change your name?" She quickly rambled. Before she knew it, her mouth was flying.

"Hey, hey. Anna. Anna," Kristoff interrupted, raising his hands. She stopped and bit her lips, realizing what she had done. "I understand. I know what your saying, what your feeling."

She nodded her head, understanding what he was getting at. Before she could process what she was going to say, her mouth spit it out. "What if you hurt me? What if you leave me? What if you find somebody else and you don't need me?"

Damn. That hit Kristoff hard. Did she really think that he would try to hurt her like that? Anna quickly covered her mouth, realize what she said. She didn't mean it. She was just thinking about her past with Hans. He left her for someone else and she didn't want to go through that again. "Kristoff, I didn't-"

"Before you make up your mind about me, I have to ask," he explained, cutting her off. She frowned, hoping that he wouldn't take what she said the wrong way. "What if I was made for you? What if you were made for me? What if this is it? What if it's meant to be?"

Before he could finish his statement, her lips found his. They moved together, but feeling their stomachs fill with butterflies and their legs turn to jelly. They let go and look into each other's eyes. What if they loved all of these what ifs away?
