chapter twelve

I walked back into the building, seeing people were going to sixth hour now. I didn't even realize I was gone that long. I had this hour with Joey so I just walked to his locker, not seeing him there. From the corner of my eye, I saw him with Taylor and Shawn. I walked over.

"Hey Joey!" I gave him a hug, and Taylor's face got bright red. "Lexi, don't be rude." I looked at him and then looked at the other two. "Hey Taylor, Shawn!" We all just laughed. "Hey Alexa, can I talk to you and Shawn really quick?" I looked at Taylor, then back at Shawn. "Sure.."

Taylor, Shawn, and I walked away, leaving Joey alone. "What's up?" He looked nervous. "So Joey is gay right?" I laughed, "I think he's bi, but yeah, he definitely likes guys." He nodded, "Shawn said that he likes me.. Is that true?" I looked at Shawn. "You told him?" Shawn looked down, "I'm just trying to get them together, sorry." 

I totally ignored Shawn, and looked back at Taylor. "Yeah, he likes you. A lot actually. Ask him out!" He let out a nervous laugh with a nod. "Go do it now! He's by himself. Now's your chance." I winked, pushing Taylor in Joey's direction.

Taylor's POV- 

Alexa pushed me over towards Joey. I really wanted to ask him out, but I was so nervous. I felt like i was going to piss my pants. I walked up to Joey, with hesitation.

"Hey Taylor!" I looked up at his face, but then looked away. "Hey..." 

He lifted my chin up with his fingers. "What's wrong Taylor?" I took a deep breath in. "I um kinda sorta l-like you.." His face turned from a frown, to a huge grin. "I like y-you too." 

"I was wondering if you'd wanna go out with me sometime. Like to the movies or something. Or maybe even just hangout at one of our houses... Whatever works for you."

Shawn's POV-

Taylor just asked me out and I could barely beliave what I was hearing. I have been waiting for this since like the eighth grade. It finally happened.

"Yeah, yeah! That would be amazing." He smiled, and so did I.

"Did they set you up to do this?" He laughed. "It was my idea, I just wanted to make sure they were cool with it and knew first." I nodded. "Now we need to get them together. Shawn really likes her.." I shrugged, "Well she has a boyfriend back in Virginia.. Shawn kissed her and she freaked.. That's why she left school."

"Well that sucks.. Did she tell Shawn?" I shook my head, "Nah. Not yet at least."

We walked back over to Shawn and Lexi.

Alexa's POV-

"Sooo what goes on?" I winked at them. They both just laughed,  while Taylor grabbed Joey's hand, linking their fingers. Joey smiled, while blushing. "We're a couple now." I smirked, looking at Shawn. "I knew they would hit it off." I laughed at Shawn's comment. 

The bell rang, it was time to go to class.

School was over and we were finally going home. I walked to Joey's locker, and Taylor met us there.
