Chapter Six
Samantha's POV
My eyes flickered open to a new place. I slowly sat up and looked around. The walls were covered with weapons and there was a small cabinet in the corner. I felt Day nudge my hand, and I looked down at her.
"Hey girl," I yawned. It took me a second to remember the past day. I took a deep breath while I petted Day. "I guess we gotta to get out of the room right?" I sighed and swung myself out of the bed. I smoothed out my bed head and left the room. I walked out of the room to realize that I had no idea where I was as going. I sighed. I looked to Day, who was now walking down the hall. I shrugged and followed her. She led me to the kitchen. She sat at Sam's feet with her tail waving enthusiastically. I now saw what Dean meant when he called Day Sam's girlfriend.
Day yipped happily. Moose!
I raised my eyebrows.
"What's wrong?" Dean asked as he noticed it.
"Nothing," I lied smoothly.
He shrugged. "Hungry?"
"Yeah," I said. He motioned for me to come closer to him, and I did.
"We got pancakes." I gave a weak smile as a felt a severe headache hit me. A spell of dizziness hit me. I gripped a corner of a cabinet before I fell.
"Hey kid, you okay?" Dean asked.
I nodded. "Yeah I'm fine. Just a headache."
Dean didn't seem convinced. "Come see."
I let go of the table and almost fell over. Sam, who was closer to me, caught me. He led me to a chair where I sat. Dean came over and put a hand on my forehead.
"You're burning up," he whispered.
"I'm fine, really."
He rolled his eyes and looked to Sam. Sam left to the sink without a word. "You're pale."
"I am perfectly okay." Day jumped onto my lap. "See Day agrees." I petted her. She smelled me.
You smell like sick.
I raised an eyebrow.
"What?" Dean asked.
"Nothing," I said. Sam came over with a damp washrag. Dean grabbed it and put it on my forehead.
"I'm fine," I groaned again. Dean gave a hesitant nod, and I stood up. "I believe someone mentioned pancakes."
After I ate breakfast, Dean told me to pack up.
"Why?" I asked.
"We have a case in Washington," he said. I smiled slightly. He sighed. "Come on."
And like that, we were on the road in the old Impala.
