Samantha's POV
I snuggled against my father as we watched Tombstone. It had been a week since we found out what I was... What could happen to me. Castiel might have been doing me a favor, as my mother told, because the transfer into becoming an Nephilim would be the most painful thing I would ever experience. She said after, I probably wouldn't remember the pain. That's only if it didn't kill me. Most Nephilim died during this process, but mother said she would be there when it happened. She left to her Eden so I couldn't be tracked as easily, but even in the bunker there was fears that the angels would track us.
"Hey, earth to Sammy," dad said. I snapped my head towards him to see him looking at me. "You okay?"
"Yeah just thinking.... About everything.."
He sighed and hugged me close. "Everything's going to be okay. Yeah baby girl? Uncle Sam's in the Men of Letter's library right now to find something that'll help." Day, who had gotten a bit bigger, decided to jump on our laps. Dean let out a omph. I laughed. "Stupid dog..." he grumbled, and she replied by licking his face. I was dying. He grabbed the dog and dropped her on my lap. I was laughing too much at this point. I petted her, but she attacked me with licking. Uncle Sam walked in and chuckled at us. Dean sat up.
"You found something?" Sam nodded and led Dean into the library. I stayed with Day on the couch. I felt a burning in the pit of my stomach. Oh please not again.
Dean's POV
Sam led me to a table covered with open books. One thing caught my eyes immediately. It was a picture of a girl with wings ripping out of her flesh. Sam looked at me with his puppy dog eyes.
"T-this is going to happen to her?" he asked.
"Yeah, I believe so," Sam said.
"Is there anywa-" I was cut off by a scream. I ran into the living room to see Sammy fallen on the floor, her back arched in pain. I ran and kneeled next to her. She was burning hot, but I wasn't even touching her flesh. She started to glow blue. Sam grabbed my shoulders to pull me back. "Sam! Sam no! Shek, help its happening! SHEKINAH!" No one came. Sam was holding me back, so all I could do was watch as my daughters glow filled the room. Her screams became higher until the glass broke. Day had run behind us with her tail between her legs.
"Sammy! Sammy it'll be okay baby, I promise!" I felt a knot in my throat as I saw her flesh exploded. Two giant black wings came out. She screamed in agony, and Sam couldn't hold me back anymore. I ran through the burning glow, even though it felt like my skin was melting off my body.
"D-daddy no stop!" she screamed. I knelt beside her, seeing burns all over my arms. The glowing stopped, and Samantha went limp on the ground. A puddle of blood began to form from her ravaged back.
"Shhhh it's okay," I said picking her up. She was heavy from the wings that limply hung around my arms and dragged on the ground. They had to be an eight foot wingspan. Sam watched in awe. "Come on!" I growled as I cleared a table and laid Samantha on it on her stomach. Sam came out with a bottle of scotch and a needle. I shook my head. Sammy couldn't take that. Not know. She was a strong girl, but no one was that strong.
"We have to," Sam said quietly. He handed me the bottle and I got her to drink some, hoping to numb the pain. She coughed as she drank it. I then gave her a leather belt to bite on as Sam began to pour the bottle on her wounds. She screamed out in pain as it hit her flesh. I held her hand, but soon she was practically crushing mine. I heard a flutter of wings and saw Shek staring at us.
"N-no," she ran towards us, shooing Sam away. She put two fingers to Samantha's forehead, and my daughter immediately relaxed. The wounds were closed and Samantha drifted into sleep. I looked to her.
"Where the hell were you?!" I yelled.
"I'm sorry, I was being tracked. I-I came as soon as I could..." she stammered out.
"Really?! She was in agony! Sammy almost couldn't take it, and you told me this only gets worse!" I yelled. She stopped and looked at the burns on my skin. She put her hand to my forehead and healed me.
"I do care about my daughter," she said quietly. "And you Dean." With that she disappeared. That was the last we saw of Shekinah for quite awhile.
