Once I was home I quickly finished my homework so I could leave to meet Aubrey at her house to work on a school project we were put to do together, but hey I'm not complaining.

I grabbed my phone before leaving the house when suddenly I got a text. I looked at it and saw it was from that Zayn guy, we had exchanged numbers before I left for the bus. I pressed the accept button on my phone before reading over the message:

 From: Zayn:

Wanna Hang Out Today?

That was quick, I think to myself. I mean sure he was cute and had that vaguely familiar feeling to him, I still was completely ready to hang out with him, I mean I really didn't know him either. Besides I was busy and had to go to Aubrey's. I sigh before replying to him:

To: Zayn:

Sorry, I have to go work on a project with a friend :/ Maybe another time?

Was that too mean? I wonder to myself, I don't think so, oh well. I think to myself. I suddenly get a text back from him.

From: Zayn:

Sounds good to me ;)

I didn't reply to that, I mean how could I, with the winky face and all. Maybe I'm just a bit shy, the guy is gorgeous to be honest and to tell you the truth, I've never really been in a relationship or anything like that so it's a bit awkward when a guy shows some sort of interest in me. But the weird thing is he probably doesn't have any intrest in me, he probably just wants to be friends, but me being the girl that overthinks everything thinks he likes me... Oh well.

As I walked down the streets thinking about Zayn I barely heard someone calling my name.

"LAURA!" I hear a thick accent shout at me. I turn my head to see a blonde boy hurrying to me with a smile on his face. I raise an eyebrow in confusion, never seeing the boy in my entire life.

Once he had caught up to me he smiled again before letting out a long breath, "Hey," He greets as I still stare at him, wondering why this stranger was talking to me and how he knew my name. Did he go to my school? I don't think so.. I would've recognized him, this town isn't that big.

"Hi..." I reply awkwardly as the smile leaves his face as he stares back at me.

"It's Niall, don't you remember me?" He questions as I slowly shake my head in confusion. Maybe I had met him a couple years back and just forgot about him. "It was just last Thursday, I helped get back to your house at around midnight..." He trailed off.

I furrowed my eyebrows at him, I don't remember that... And why would I be out past midnight, I'm terrified of being out late in the dark. I dug into my brain about to retaliate and tell him he was foolish because I was sleeping but when I thought back to Thurday night, nothing came to mind. Everything was blank in my mind from that night, I can't seem to find anything in my mind telling me what I did on Thursday night. Come to think about it, I don't remember what I did last night either, or the night before, or the night before...

All I remember is going to school and coming home those days, nothing beyond that.

That's peculiar... I think to myself trying as hard as I could to remember something, anything from the past couple nights.

How could I forget everything I did last night, that was just a meer twenty-four hours before the present. At that moment I had completely forgot about the confused Niall staring back at me, my eyes widened when I looked up and met his gaze.

"I have to go..." I trail off turning back to go back to my home.

"Wait, Laura," I feel a hand grab my own. I turn to look at Niall, "Are you alright?" He asks, "You seem a bit off... Are you sure you don't remember me?" He asks still confused on that aswell as me.
