"What?" I ask wondering if I heard him correctly.
"I was sent here for you, Laura." He repeats in an expressionless tone as I shake my head slowly, not for minute believing what he was saying.
"Is that what you say to all the girls?" I tease bitterly giving a small eye roll much to his dismay as I watch him clench his jaw.
"There aren't any other girls, Laura. Just you, why would you think that I would make up something like this? I promise I would never fib or tell stories that are untrue." He says sincerely but I could hardly believe him. What does he call the past few weeks then? The truth? Yeah right.
"You've been lying to me since the day I met you, and you dare to say that all you've told me was the truth? How could I not have trust issues with you? Besides you just told me you aren't from this galaxy, so I'm terribly sorry that I don't believe a single word that comes out of your mouth." I reply truthfully unlike Zayn over here.
I watched as his face slowly fell, "Please, Laura, what do I have to do to make you believe or listen to me?" He asks and I sit in disbelief, now he's asking what I want? It's a little late for that.
I sat in silence for a few minutes before something came to mind:
"Untie me." I say in a quiet voice taking Zayn by surprise.
"How do I know you won't try to run?" He asks, a small curve on the side of his lips.
I just roll my eyes at him again, "You asked me what you had to do to make me listen, and I said untie me, need I saw more? Besides there are probably men all around this room so the odds are pretty much against me, and I have no idea where the hell I am." I pause, "Is that a good enough answer, Zayn?" I say soon after.
I watch as a smirk forms on his face, "I knew you were clever, always aware of your surroundings, one of the many things I love about you." He says scootching over towards me so he was close enough to untie me. He leant down and began to untie my ankles from the chair but as he did so, his eyes never left mine, not letting me even think of looking away. Once he was done with my ankles he then slowly untied my wrists and I noticed the strangest thing, his eyes, slowly morphing into a dark maroon/reddish color, causing me to gasp softly. I mean I now remember all the times I've seen them do that before but this was the first time they did this since my memory loss, and to be honest, it took the breathe out me.
"Why do your eyes do that?" I ask slowly as he finishes untying my left wrist.
"They change when I feel passion." He says in a calm voice, as though it didn't matter to him. "Whether it be passion in the form of love, lust, or even passion in the form of wanting to rip someone's throat out." He continued as he dropped the ropes that once had me tied to this chair.
Once my limbs were free, the first thing I did was wipe the dried tears off my face, although I felt nothing for Zayn, I wanted to look a little presentable, if that even makes sense. All in the while as I tried fixing myself up I noticed Zayn's eyes still lurking on me.
"What? Surprised I haven't run off yet?" I ask aloud taking him by surprise for a moment before another smirk falls onto his mouth.
"Not that," is all he feels the need to say and I sigh, pulling my chair further from him before sitting back and placing my hands on my lap.
