Common Enemy

Bonnie and Caroline go back to their hotel room at the end of the day.

"I don't know if it was a good idea involving those girls. We don't know them. We can't trust them." Bonnie says to Caroline, as she locks the hotel door behind them.

"You can't do that spell on your own, Bon. You could really get hurt, or worse..." Caroline says, not wanting to say what she's really thinking. That it could kill Bonnie.

"Yeah, I know you're right. But at the same time, anyone who gets sucked into our lives could get really hurt." Bonnie says.

"But if Aria is a witch, she was bound to find out eventually. At least this way, she has you to help her. And who better to help than an all powerful Bennet witch?" Caroline asks, laughing.

Bonnie laughs. "I guess you're right. And hey, as long as we're not in Mystic Falls, our supernatural drama can finally be on hold. Nothing bad happens in Rosewood."

Bonnie leans over and throws her hair up into a high ponytail. She walks into the bathroom to finish doing her hair, and Caroline follows her.

When they look up at the mirror they both scream. There are words written on the mirror. In red. In blood.

Poor Caroline. Always Stefan's second choice. He prefers brunettes.

"What the hell is this?" Bonnie exclaims, staring at Caroline.

The scent of blood is too tempting and Caroline can feel the veins on her face popping out, and her fangs coming out. She starts breathing deeply, trying to control her urge for blood. In... out... in... out...

Caroline sighs, and controls the cravings. "Who the hell is A?" Caroline finally exclaims. "What the hell does this message even mean?"

Bonnie bites her lip nervously. "I didn't want to say anything until I was sure..." She sighs. "I'm pretty sure Stefan has a thing for Aria now..."

Caroline's heart drops. "How..." She tucks some of her blonde hair behind her ear. "Are you sure?" Caroline asks quietly.

Bonnie nods.

"Wow." Caroline says. She pauses in silence for a few moments.

"I'll kill whoever the hell wrote this damn thing." Caroline says, staring at the bloody message on the glass mirror. "A is a creep and a stalker." She looks at Bonnie curiously. "Who do we know thats a lot like that? Enzo. I bet it's him."

"Hey! You don't know that." Bonnie says.

"Yes I do. I'm going to talk to him now." She storms out of the hotel room. Not paying any attention, she rams head first into a girl walking by. They both fall down to the floor.

"Ow!" The girl exclaims, rubbing her head.

"Sorry..." Caroline says. She then looks up at the girl and immediately recognizes her as the brunette, Aria.

"Caroline, right?" Aria asks.

"How nice of you to remember my name." Caroline responds, smiling fakely.

She looks up and sees Bonnie standing over them.

"Aria, right?" Bonnie asks, and the girl nods. "Come in."
