Hoseok decided that he would stay in the library and just hang out there until Hyungwon's shift ended. It was calm in the library so Hyungwon would've been really bored if it wasn't for Hoseok's company. The two boys felt strangely comfortable being around each other and it surprised Hoseok how much Hyungwon actually talked, considering he was always quiet in school.
"Hyungwonah, why aren't you so talkative when you're in school, I mean, you're such an amusing and funny guy, how come you never talk? I think you could fit in with me and my friends really well." Hoseok said as he smiled at Hyungwon in amusement.
"Ah... well, I don't know... I guess it's just because people think I'm weird. Hehe..." Hyungwon awkwardly chuckled as his voice became a lot more quiet than it had been before.
Hyungwon had always been the type of person who got really nervous when there were a lot of people around him. He would prefer just sitting quietly in some corner of the room, listening to music or sketching in his notebook.
But for some reason he felt alright being with Hoseok, strangely comfortable actually. Hoseok was a really nice guy unlike most stereotypical popular boys, who are usually the biggest jerks you'll ever meet.
Hoseok was nice, he was calm. Instead of trying to make the conversation about himself, Hoseok preferred learning more about Hyungwon and letting him talk the entire time.
It really wasn't something the tall brunette was used to but for some reason he really liked talking to Hoseok and it was all just so easy."Don't let what other people say bother you so much. You are your own kind of amazing. And I think I prefer your 'normal' over anyone else's..." Hoseok looked at Hyungwon with sincerity in his eyes. He really meant it. He thought Hyungwon was great the way he was. When he could be himself, he became so much more fascinating to Hoseok. And he was determined to find out everything there was to know about the brunette.
Hyungwon rubbed the nape of his neck and shuffled around a little.
"You don't have to say that, I know I'm not really like most people... it's fine." Hyungwon shrugged, avoiding eye contact with Hoseok.
"Well, other people are boring, I really couldn't care less about how most people are."
Hyungwon chuckled a little and looked Hoseok in the eye.
"Thanks... I think..." Hyungwon awkwardly smiled at the silver haired boy.
"Hey, your shift is almost over, where do you wanna go after it ends?" Hoseok changed the subject before it became too awkward and he could see Hyungwon smiling more relaxed this time.
"I don't know, the weather's nice, maybe we should find a place outside where we can chill or something?" Hyungwon shrugged. He didn't really hang out a lot so he wasn't sure what to do.
"You wanna get ice cream? I know this abandoned building where we can get on the roof, it has this really nice view over the city, we can go there if you want?"
Hoseok expectantly looked at Hyungwon, he really loved sitting on the roof of that building and he hoped that Hyungwon would agree on going there. He hung out there with Minhyuk sometimes when he didn't feel like being around the loud kids. He could relax there and talk to Minhyuk about anything he wanted.
"Yeah that sounds good to me." Hyungwon agreed and just then, his boss came around the corner and told him that his shift was over.
"Let's go then!" Hoseok excitedly said as he started walking towards the exit of the library. The two boys walked towards the ice cream shop around the corner and ordered their ice cream.
Hoseok lead the way to the abandoned building and at first Hyungwon was a little sceptical when they came closer.
"This isn't the part where you murder me right? I'm too pretty to die." Hyungwon raised his eyebrow at Hoseok suspiciously and Hoseok just laughed at Hyungwon's ridiculous statement.
"Maybe it is..." Hoseok wiggled his eyebrows as he took Hyungwon's hand and pulled him towards where he wanted to go.
The two boys were in front of a wall that had a few sketchy looking stone blocks and Hoseok climbed them effortlessly to get to the even sketchier looking top floor.
When he was all the way up there, he disappeared for a while and Hyungwon got a little nervous.
"Yah, Hoseok!! Come back and help me up!!"
The silver haired boy quickly came back and laughed at the little crack in Hyungwon's voice.
"Not scared are you?" He smirked at the tall brunette who was still struggling to climb up the blocks.
"Pffff, scared? Me? Nahhh! I don't get scared that easily!" He scoffed and at that exact moment he slipped and let out an involuntary squeal.
"If you tell anyone about this, you're dead, understood?" Hyungwon shot a glare up at Hoseok who was currently dying of laughter.
Hyungwon really was something else. When Hyungwon finally made it up to the roof, his ice cream had almost melted but it still tasted good anyway.
The view really was amazing and the two boys watched the tiny cars and the city lights as they enjoyed their ice cream and each other's company.Hoseok couldn't help but think about how handsome Hyungwon looked in the light of the setting sun. Without noticing, he was straight up staring at the brunette.
"Why are you looking at me like that?" Hyungwon asked without turning his head to face an embarrassed Hoseok. He just kept his eyes focused on the city in front of him.
"I... uhm... I'm sorry, I didn't mean to stare, it's just... you look kinda beautiful right now...." Hoseok covered his mouth immediately, he couldn't believe he just called Hyungwon beautiful as if it was the most normal thing in the world.
Hyungwon just smiled, still not facing the silver haired boy, sparing him of further embarrassment.
"Thanks."---------
