-flashback to 2 days earlier-

As Hyunwoo said goodbye to his best friend, he started walking the opposite direction. They lived only a few blocks away and since their parents were close friends, the two boys spent a lot of time together when they were little so it was only natural for them to become friends pretty quickly.

Hyunwoo had turned on his music and he was walking quietly, taking slow steps as his music was softly playing through his earphones when he suddenly felt a weight on his shoulders.
When he turned his head he was surprised to see who it was.
His favourite mop of blonde hair was smiling right at him with his arm swung around his shoulder. Minhyuk pulled Hyunwoo's earphone out with a playful smile on his face.
"Heyy!!" The blond said happily.
"You're Hyunwoo, right? We have a bunch of classes together! I'm Minhyuk!" He continued, still sounding really cheerful. Hyunwoo had to seriously hold back from straight up saying "I know" as his face started to feel a little warmer than before.
"Yeah.. Hi..." Hyunwoo shyly said as he stepped away from Minhyuk a little, not knowing what else to say.
"Hey don't be shy, I won't bite." Minhyuk teased and Hyunwoo felt that familiar fluttering feeling in his stomach.
God why is he so cute? Hyunwoo thought as he brought his eyes up to meet Minhyuk's.
The blonde stared intently into the taller's eyes.
"You know, I've always thought there was something different about you. From a distance you look all muscular and scary but from up close you're actually a teddy bear." Minhyuk stated and Hyunwoo was honestly shocked; it was such a random comment and the big teddy bear was not expecting it. But still it made him blush. Minhyuk was honestly so adorable. The way he smiled. The little hand gestures he made. The way his eyes flickered with a spark Hyunwoo had never seen before.
He was really something else.

"Hyunwoo...? You're staring..." Minhyuk suddenly asked and Hyunwoo didn't realise that he had been staring at the blonde boy in front of him the entire time.
"I mean... you looked kinda cute, I shouldn't have interrupted your thoughts, whatever they were about." The blonde added, teasing Hyunwoo and making his cheeks even more red than they previously were.
Hyunwoo wanted to dig a hole in the ground and bury himself in it then and there, that's how embarrassed he felt. He really wasn't any good at making conversation and being face to face with his crush was starting to make him feel really anxious.
He started looking around nervously, looking everywhere but at Minhyuk.
The blonde noticed and gently placed his hand the tall boy's arm.
"I'm sorry... I didn't mean to make you uncomfortable... it's just that I... I wanted to talk to you because... well... I like you." Minhyuk suddenly said and Hyunwoo immediately brought his eyes up to meet Minhyuk's, he was standing there so confidently, confessing like that and Hyunwoo could've never done something like that. But still, brave as he looked before, he started shifting in his place after a while of Hyunwoo not answering and just staring in his eyes instead.

"You... you are gay, right?"
When Hyunwoo still didn't answer, Minhyuk covered his mouth and his ears became bright red.
"Oh my god, I'm so sorry for just assuming that you were! I didn't mean to offend you! Oh god I'm so sorry!"
Minhyuk nervously blabbered. He was about to run away when Hyunwoo grabbed ahold of his wrist, almost as if they were in some cheesy kdrama.
"Wait..." He almost whispered.

Braver than he had ever been, he kissed Minhyuk's cheek.
"I like you too..."
The blonde brought his hand up to touch the spot on his cheek where Hyunwoo had just kissed him.
Hyunwoo smiled as he saw red tones creeping onto Minhyuk's cheeks.

"So... you are gay?" Minhyuk awkwardly asked.
"Absolutely."
