You're the sun,
with it's rays flooding through my window,
making water shimmer,
warming my skin,
never dreaming of your scorching heat burning me because you won't.
They say you're not supposed to stare into the sun,
but I am too entranced to turn away.
Even when you aren't visible
you illuminate my night sky,
the stars were the only trace of light,
but now I have the sun and moon.
You are warmth.
You are light.
You are my sun.
You're more than the sun,
you've become my whole universe
because you showed me the world outside Earth.
