Today was the final day of the fear simulations and then we will find out or rankings for stage 2. Everyone seemed so broken, people talked less, more people cried at night I even heard Molly cry. I've never seen Molly cry before not even the time Drew cut her hair when we were 7 because of a bet.
In the morning everyone got ready in silence, Molly layed there staring ahead. Her eyes were only slightly puffy.
I walked towards her, "Hmph. You look like you were crying."
"I need to get a good rank for this stage or I'm done for." She said sniffling.
I looked around, nobody was in the dorm besides Christina, Drew and Tris.
"Well get out of bed you look like a wimp," I said and walked away. I soon regretted saying that, why do I have to be such an asshole? I thought to myself.
Molly then slowly got up and pushed Christina out of the way to go to the bathroom.
Christina smirked at her and whispered something to Tris, I sighed and left the dormitory for the cafeteria.
What is in store today? I thought to myself.
A Dauntless born initiate then stopped me, I've seen him talk to the Stiff.
"Hey, where can I get a pellet gun?" He asked.
"How is a transfer supposed to know, Uriah." Asked a girl with no hair.
"Uh, why don't you just get some pellets and load a gun with it?" I asked.
"That's such a good idea!" Said another girl.
"Yeah, why didn't we think of that? Let's go!" Said Uriah, then they all walked away. "Now where can we find pellets?"
I sighed, idiots. I then sat down and Drew was already there, "A new Erudite article was released on Abnegation."
"And I care why?" I asked.
"Read the first page," said Drew handing me the article.
I took the article and smirked.
Molly then entered and sat with us.
"Check this out," I said handing her the article.
Molly skimmed the article and burst into laughter, "So its finally published."
"Is that your revenge for stage 1?" Asked Drew.
"Yup, and it doesn't stop there." She replied nodding at me.
I stood up on our table and everyone stared at me, I cleared my throat and began reading the article.
"Beatrice and Caleb Prior, Andrew Prior, one of our councilmans children have recently chosen to transfer factions."
Everyone was staring, then Tris entered looking around and stared at me.
I smirked and continued reading, "But why would children who came from such a respected family choose to transfer? Was it because the life Prior set out for them wasn't good enough? Or was it something else? Molly Atwood suggests an abusive upbringing was the cause." I paused to see everyones expressions, some were in shock, others pity and a few glares.
"'She talks in her sleep and tells her father to stop doing something, a few times she even begs for mercy or moans.' Said Atwood."
A few people chuckled and Tris ran towards me but Will grabbed her, "What? What?!" She snapped, her voice shaky.
Then Four and Eric entered as I got down and smiled at her.
"That's my father! My father your coward! You couldn't target me directly?!" She yelled trying to snatch the newspaper but Will carried her outside before she could do any harm to anyone.
The whole cafeteria was silent then began murmering.
"What's going on here?" Demanded Four.
"We were just reading a newspaper and she got all rabid," I replied casually.
Eric then snatched the newspaper and skimmed the article, Four read it over his shoulder. They both glared at us, "Cowards. Honestly if your going to do this do it directly." Said Eric crumbling up the paper and throwing it away mumbling profanities.
Four shook his head at us, "I hope you each get thrown out of Dauntless. But your rankings might do that for you." Four said looking at Molly and Drew and walking away.
Molly put her head down and Christina and Albert left the cafeteria.
After breakfast we went to our final simulation. I went in first, and Four had already prepares the syringe, "Ready?" He asked.
"Yeah."
He then injected the serum and I began to drift off, when I opened my eyes I was in the Factionless part of the city. I was roaming around and then I saw the other initates dressed in Dauntless attire, I called to Molly but she pretended like she didn't hear me.
I then looked down at what I was wearing. I was wearing a ripped thin jacket, with a worn out plain fading green t-shirt and old gray pants. Factionless attire. I coughed and tried running towards them but it felt like an eternity. "Drew! Molly!" I called.
Then I slowly began to lose my voice and my running became slower and more painful. I fell to the floor, my body became numb. Then a truck that was coming at me, I tried getting up but I couldn't. I was too crippled.
I then noticed someone staring at me who was on the sidewalk. The Stiff. She then held up something which I soon realized to be was her middle finger. That was the last thing I saw.
Then my eyes opened quickly, I looked down and I was back in my casual clothes, I looked up at Four. "Send in the next person," he said.
I stormed out of there, not looking at anyone who was watching me.
Later that day we found out our new ranks for Stage 2. I was 2nd, and Tris was first. What? How? I pushed her and said "What the hell?!"
Will grabbed me by the collar and pulled me away from her. "Don't touch her." He snapped, "Don't you have better things to do then pick on a little girl?"
"Little girl? Your kidding right? She's trying to manilpulate you and soon she will get you kicked out of Dauntless!" I then stormed out then Molly and Drew followed.
This was disgusting.
"So your gonna find another butterknife? Or maybe a butcherknife this time?" Molly asked.
" Shut up, Molly!" I snapped.
"I'm just saying would you rather be the bottom two?" She asked then walked away.
"Midnight. Chasm." I told Drew.
Drew stared at me, "Were going to kill-"
"Well yeah? But if we get caught before we do we would have psyched her out enough to make her drop out of initation." I said.
"I'm okay with scaring her but not killing...you can't do this alone." Drew said.
I rolled my eyes, "You actually have feelings for her?"
"N-no!"
"I'll just find someone else." I replied.
"I'll help," said a voice.
We then turned around. It was Albert.
