Chapter 4

Haley's POV

I was sleeping so peacefully when suddenly my body told me it was time to get up. I was use to getting up early so I cold do the morning chores or otherwise that would be another two days without food. I got up and decided to just stay in my night gown. I walked out of my room. It was still dark out which meant no one else would be up. I started to wonder around. All the way around the castle I saw mirrors. I wonder if the queen likes to look at herself, I thought to myself. I was looking in one of the mirrors when suddenly blue smoke appeared in the mirror and a face was there. I gasped. You must be Haley, he said. Um yes, I a little freaked out. No need to be scared I won't hurt you, he said kindly. It made me feel better so I relaxed a little. Well since you know my name may I know yours, I asked. Well I suppose that is only fair my name is Sydnee, he said. Sydnee that's a nice name, I said. Thank you that is the first nice thing I have had someone say to me in years, he said. Your welcome, I said. Well I am going to head back to my room I will talk to you later if that is ok with you, I said. That is more than fine with me, he said. Goodbye Sydnee, I said. Goodbye Haley, he said. He seemed so happy that I wanted to talk to him later. I walked back the way I came. I ended up back in my room and laid down on my bed. I soon found myself slowly falling asleep. Soon the sun was rising and I felt its warmness kissing my cheek. I slowly rose from my bed. There was a dress sitting on the edge of my bed. I was so beautiful. I was a purple dress that wasn't poofy and it was long but it stop a little before it hit the ground so I would trip over it. I did my make up and hair. I just put it in a messy bun. I walked out of my room and headed to the dinning room. Regina was sitting at the table eating. I walked over and sat beside her. You were able to get your dress on yourself, she asked surprised? Yes, I said. And your make up and hair look amazing, she said. Thank you, I said smiling. Are you hungry, she asked? Kind of can I just have a bowl of fruit, I asked her? Of course, she said. Suddenly and maid appeared with a bowl of fruit. Thank you, I said. She smiled at me nodded and scurried away. I ate my fruit. Ma'am may I go explore the castle, I asked? I don't see why not and please call me Regina sweetie, she said. Ok and thank you, I said smiling. I got up from my seat and ran out of the dinning room. I was wondering down the hallways when suddenly I came across a great big pair of oak doors. I pushed them open a little and saw rows and rows of books. I gasped. I snuck into the room and closed the door. There was so many books. I started looking around when I spotted one that looked interesting. It was called "The Princess". I grabbed it and went and sat on a sofa in the room. I began to read the book. It was amazing. I decided to go up to my room. I took the book with me. When I reached my room I set the book down on my vanity. I saw I had a balcony in my room. (Like the one Snow White has in her castle.) I opened up the double door and stepped out on the balcony. The view was breath taking. I see you like to read, someone said. I screamed and jumped. I turned around to see an old woman. I am sorry you scared me, I said gripping my chest. I apologize, she said. Who are you, I asked? My name is Cora I am Regina's mother, she said.
