"I love you,"
He cried silently.
The other boy
Just looked on sadly.
His heart
Oh how it broke
He wished
That he could
Return the others
Feelings.
But they say
That once you fall
You will never
Be able to rise.
His father
Would not approve
Of this relationship
His friends
Would shun him.
But what would it matter?
For the only support
He needed
Was the boy
In front of him.
But
Social standings
Stood in their way
Along with forbidden love
Comes heartbreak.
The two fates
Destined to never intwine.
Cried their hearts out
Until the day they died.
The other boy
Never got to say
The words that resonated in his mind
The words he was never allowed to replicate.
"I love you too."
