My name is Donna Jo Tanner; however, I generally go by D.J. (except when I'm in trouble or in formal situations) because I don't really like my name. I go to Tremont High School, which is in the middle of nowhere (or so it seems). Actually, my school is right next door to a cornfield that we all like to hang out in. My dad Donald Tanner is the principal at my high school, so I seriously do not get way with anything. I have an older sister who goes to Harvard University, and most of my family expects me to follow in her footsteps, which I don't think will happen.
My dad and I live in a house on my grandparent's farm. My mom had died a few years back in a work related shooting, as she was a police officer. Both my mom and my dad had met each other while serving in the army; from what they told me it was love at first sight. They married each other a year after they met. My dad is super strict and believes in corporal punishment (he would use it at school if he was allowed). He does not only spank me but he also grounds me, makes me do extra chores, as well as , a thing he likes to call boot camp.
