I don't understand how some people can be homophobic. This is the way I see it, if 2 people love each other LEAVE THEM ALONE. It's said that marriage is to only occur if it's a man and a women (in the bible) and not between the same sex. If the bible is the case why doesn't everyone run and point out that divorce is just as bad. People are okay with the thought of marring off someone who is just in for looks, money, ect. but not someone who is in love?
Funny how marriage between 2 people that only knew each other for an hour is more legal than people who have been together for 10+ years. These people have loved eachother and made a commitment to eachother that can never be acknowledged because it "wrong" (in the eyes of homophobics).
Now Imagine finding someone that is the love of your life. You can look into their eyes and see every part of your future in them. You know you want to cuddle close to that person while you whisper good night and wake up to see their angelic face glowing in the sun rise. Now imagine everyone looking down on your love, for whatever reason no one approves of it. Would you give up, or will you continue the fight just to win your prize? Would you want someone to stop you from creating a future with the one person that is the biggest reason for your happiness? No? Then why do it to others?
I can't understand why people want to tear away the happiness of others because their too worried it will "ruin the sanctity" of marriage.
As long as divorce is legal, getting married to a person you knew for 2.3 seconds and marriage to your cousin is legal and so is beastiality same sex marriages should be too, because I think all the others listed are FAR WORSE than marring 2 people with the same genitals.
No one should be deprived of happiness, so quit being homophobic (which means: a jerk that wants to steal others happiness because you're too ignorant that you would realize love even if it smacked you in the face) and let others love who they want.
