In philosophers stone when Harry's confused about getting onto the platform and he overhears the Weasleys, why on earth does Molly ask her children:
'Now, what's the platform number?'
She's already put Bill and Charlie through the school and she went herself for seven years, it's not something you forget!
It might have been necessary for J.K to make it clear to Harry he'd found wizarding folk, but surely that would have been obvious when they all disapeared near where the platform was meant to be?
