How can (probably) 280 students be taught constantly all week by only one teacher per subject? I know the classes are generally held with two houses, and we only ever hear of about 10 people per house, but that's still many years who need teaching.
I don't know about your schools, but mine only has around 600 students and we have at least 3 teachers per subject, stretching to 5 for subjects such as maths.
On later consiseration I suppose that equals out about right - but they must have one heck of a timetabler and not much time to mark homeworks in!
