Chapter 18: Fever Frenzy

~ Natsu (Pov) ~

I looked at Lucy with concern still seeing some scars and...a...... Mark??

"Lucy how did you get that mark?" I questioned  curiously.

"........."

"....fine.. don't think this conversation  is over" I said smirking. She turned her head to look at me, but she didn't smiling.

I picked her up gently bridal style and noticed she turned red, but at the same time looked very pale. I placed my hand on her forehead to see she had a fever.

I removed my hand from her fore head.....she was burning hot.

"WENDY! Do you think you could heal her again she has a fever?" I asked her.

"Sure Natsu." She replied with a smile.

"Be careful child! Don't lose to much of you power! Charla said sternly.

"I'll be fine I promise" She reassured her. She hovered her hand over Lucy and it started to glow a light blue. 

Suddenly I saw Wendy's expression change into a worried/ concerned look.

"WENDY! what's wrong." I said with my mind starting to fill with worried thoughts.

"I-I can't........ h-heal her...." She stuttered.

"WHAT!" I Say Angerly.

"We need to find a place where she can rest then we can take care of the task at Hand and figure out what is really going on..." Wendy  stated.

I nodded my head in response as I called to Gajeel and Lily to meet us at the motel where Lucy had been staying at before this happened.

"Everything is gonna be alright Lucy." I softly reassured her. I suddenly, felt her grab onto me tighter as I was still holding her bridal style. 

She started to shiver due to the wind I was making by running through the forest.

I took of my vest and wrapped it around her to keep her warm.

*Time skip* (the Motel)

I Rested Lucy on the bed and put the covers over her lightly.

"Natsu.... Me,  Gajeel, Lily, and Charle are going to look for clues about the mysterious dragons and for what's going on with Lucy."  Wendy said

"Wendy, could you maybe see if you could get medicine as well for Lucy's fever."  I asked her. She nodded in response and headed out the door.

"See ya later salamander." Gajeel said with a smirk wiped across his face looking back at me and lucy.

"Shut up... metal head," I mumbled while blushing and with that he headed off with Wendy.

"N-Natsu.."  I turned around to see Lucy sleepy looking at me with her covers off her.

"N-Natsu it's so hot in here~." She wined. She said trying to take off the tattered short dress.

I pulled her dress back down before she could take it off all the way while blushing.

"LUCY! NO! The dress isn't even that thick and it's not that warm in here take that from a fire dragon slayer for goodness sake." I Said to her while blushing 50 million shades of scarlet usually I would care less if she took it of , but............ I DON'T KNOW!

"B-B-BUT.. N-NATSU~" She wined once more.

"FINE!" Jeez what has this fever done to her. Is she delusional or somthing.

I turned the other way so I couldn't  see her undress herself.  I handed her a tink top and shorts so at least she wasn't naked. 

Suddenly, I felt something grab me by the colar of my vest. I opened my eyes to see  Lucy under me and me on top of her.

Yep this fever has made her delusional no wonder why she's been more winy than usual.

But, suddenly, Lucy's hand slowly cupped my face which made me blush.  I noticed her fever has gone up even more since we got to the motel and that her face was  flushed red due to the fever or was she blushing......

But what caught me by surprise was...
