Today was different
I've never known the courage
The one that overtook me as it did
But to ask you over
I had feared your reprimand
But still
I took your hand
"Can I see you on Saturday?"
It wasn't my fault
That it was a rainy day
We stayed in all day
But the gloomy sky
Still affected you and I
Your countenance
It changed
...
The time was 1:23.
The sky was bright as ever.
We had just been walking around the garden. The conversation was pretty.
We joked around a bit. You'd laugh, hit my shoulder.
But when I got closer, you'd move away.
I tried to understand why you constantly did that while resisting the urge to hold you at the middle.
The clouds were getting darker. I could tell that it would soon rain.
...
It was 1:32.
The darkness had fully enveloped the sky and it was drizzling for a bit.
...
Now the heavy drops had begun to fall from the sky. You gestured towards the house, saying that we go in.
"what's the matter, it's just water", I laughed.
"I just don't like getting wet", you defended.
I laughed, I drew you closer, till we were under the rain. Now I laughed harder as we got wetter and wetter.
We were soaked.
Ran into the house and I could see your clothes sticking to your skin.
...
In my room.
Taking off soaking wet clothes.
I lifted the curtains to see what the rain was like.
Then you came in. "I wasn't expecting that you'd come in", I laughed.
"why not, I'm soaked", you defended.
...
Was changing into dry clothes.
Then the streaks of lightning begun. Thunder.
You were so quick. Ran over to me. Holding me tightly. Then I let loose. Lost my self control. You were still wet. But that was only the beginning.
...
All day
Riding the waves
That came with this rain
Bad weather
Who knew it was so clever
To ask you over
...
You stayed all night
.
