Chapter 6

Monday
Ruby POV

I got up and change to some clothes for school. I didn't really care what I wore today. I put on some makeup to cover the bruises and put on sunglasses. I went to go to the kitchen to get a granola bar. I then went to my garage and hurry up before Logan saw me. I drove to school and will hopefully meet Chloe there. I walked inside and a few people stared staring. I walked into first period and saw Chloe walked in too.

"Hey...why are you wearing sunglasses."She said curiously.

"I'll explain later."I said looking down.

Logan and Caleb came into class talking and laughing. Once they saw me, they stopped and stared.

"Why the fuck are you wearing sunglasses."Logan said trying to take them off.

"STOP."I said holding the sunglasses before he took them off my face.

Logan grabbed them and they saw the bruises. I looked at Caleb and he turned red.

"Who in the hell did that to you."Caleb said angry.

I looked away and snatched the glasses from Logan. I put them on and got the hell out of school. I can't be here. I couldn't face the fact that they were all looking at me. I got in the car and drove off. I looked at the rear view mirror and saw that Chloe was right behind me. I got home and went inside, I ran straight to my room and closed it. I started to cry until I heard a voice.

"Ruby, let me in."

I opened the door and kept crying more.

"I'm so sorry Chloe, I should have told you what happen. I was scared of what happen. Everything happen so quickly that I didn't expect this."
"It's okay."

We started walking towards my kitchen until Chloe stopped.

"I heard a car door slam."She said.

She ran to my parents window to look through the window.

"Uh Oh."She says.

"What??"

"Caleb and Logan are here."

"Don't let them in."

"I'm gonna text Matthew,Ethan,and Cameron. They need to know what happen to you,they can handle this."She said.

"That's gonna make it worse if they try to handle this. Are Logan and Caleb still there."

"No they went inside Logan house but they have the curtains open so now we can't leave."

20 minutes later

Matthew,Ethan,and Cameron came with food. Of course Chloe would ask for food in this situation. I told Chloe to tell them to hurry up before Caleb and Logan start walking over here. All I see is Chloe pushing them inside the garage and she closed it as fast as she could.

"We have a problem."She says.

"What happen."Matthew said worried.

I started to walk towards them and they were all shocked.

"Oh My God, who did that to you."Ethan said.

They all stayed looking at me while I looked at Cameron. Cameron knew exactly who did this to me.

"Oh Hell No....He's dead. No one does that to you."He said pissed.

Matthew and Ethan realized who did it.

"Ben did this to you."Matthew said mad.

I nodded my head and looked down. I saw Cameron opening the garage and walking towards his car.

"Don't do anything, your gonna make the problem worse."I said.

"He should know not to mess with you or touch you because we still have those videos of him with you and those other girls."He said.

He had a point but he was gonna make it worse and I've already been through enough. Matthew started going to their cars to get Ben. They all started their cars and were about to drive off until Cameron got off.

"I'm sorry Ruby but you should know by now that no one messes with my best friend. Both of you in general because they should know that I don't fucking play and that I can kick their asses within a few minutes."He said hugging me.

"I know."

He got in his car and they all left. Then I saw Caleb and Logan looking at me from the door of the house. I looked away and went inside my house. Chloe just looked at them with sympathy, got into her car,and left. I ended up doing boring stuff inside the house and went to sleep early. Goodnight.
