Banquet

It has been 2 years since I first summoned my familiar. We get along quite well, and I have already learned how to utilize my bunny's space powers for my own use. My familiar is a baby bunny, and will mature alongside I as I grow up. By the way, I named my familiar Linc the scythe. Yes, a scythe. My adorable baby bunny, when in weapon form, is a 4 foot ominous black and red scythe. Like, the grim reaper scythe. I have already, at 5 years of age, learned initial mastery of the scythe, which usually takes a person several years of hard work and diligence. I did so in one year of single hour trainings everyday. Seriously, cheat.

I have learned how to teleport, which makes things sooo much easier, and how to store things that I don't want to carry around in my own personal little space pocket. This power is quite useful.

Anyways, today is the day of The Queen's birthday Banquet, and to be honest, I don't have many fond memories of this day. That is because in exactly 11 years, I will be condemned and executed on this exact day.

I decided for the banquet that I will dress the exact opposite of how the previous Cecelia had dressed and do it the way I want. I picked out a cute, light blue loli dress and thigh high socks. I put a pink bow in my wavy blue hair and wore pink flats with little bows. I picked up a little blue purse with a cute pink bow and placed my small familiar inside it. I smiled in satisfaction at my reflection in the mirror. The opposite of the previous caked face and glamorous dressed Cecelia, I wore something cute and childish. In my past life, I had always had a fascination with cute loli dresses and bows, but never was cute enough to pull it off. Now that I was blessed with this body, I might as well dress the way I want.

When my parent's saw me in my outfit they froze, then turned bright red. My mother started cooing at how cute I was while my father had a nosebleed. Father, please don't do that in front of other people, you will embarrass our family.

We got into the carriage and soon arrived at the palace. It was huge, much larger than our house, and we had to go through several security checks to enter. It was currently 1 o'clock, and the banquet went on until 9. This is what some would call a day ball, more suited for the children so that they could make their bed times. As the children get older, they will begin to attend the night balls, which goes on sometimes until the morning.

We entered a huge ballroom, that seemed more like a pavilion to me. With all of the doors opened, a warm breeze flowed in and we were able to appreciate the scenery. There were other noble children playing on the grass in the fields, having picnics. I looked longingly at the buffet tables, wondering when I would be allowed to eat. My parents sat down in their fancy chairs and started chatting with other nobles, not before ushering me to go out and play. I grudgingly left, no longer able to see the beautiful and delicious pastries just waiting to be eaten.

I walked up to a boy sitting underneath the shade of a tree. For some reason, everyone kept on looking here but not approaching. "May I sit here?" I asked. The boy looked stunned. He didn't answer for a few seconds so I started to get annoyed. I plopped down on the opposite side of the tree of him, with our backs facing each other.

"I- I didn't say that you could sit there," he said, sounding shocked at my audacity.

"Well, you didn't say anything so I interpreted it the way I liked." I retorted and studiously began to ignore his existence. I pulled out a book from my space pocket and began to read. I was so engrossed in my book that I didn't realize how much time had passed until the sky started to get much darker. I looked up, it was probably around 6 o'clock. There were lights shining inside of the banquet hall and I observed the people happily laughing and chatting. One thing that I had learned from my many lifetimes, was the true nature of nobles.

"Fake," I muttered. I saw people smiling, but not smiling, laughing, but not laughing. It was all a show, a presentation to mask their true agendas. I glanced around at the young and pure children still fooling around or taking a nap. As I observed the crowds of nobles, the amount that I saw that were truly good people were only a disappointing few. I mused aloud, "Most kind people are already evil people today, because they were broken by stupid people in the past." Then I skipped over to my parents when I saw that dinner was being served. I had totally forgotten about the little boy on the other side of the tree who was observing me as I ran back to my parents.
