The next day comes along, and I wake up to her text. I fall asleep on her every time we talk late, and I always feel bad when I do. On a good note, I always love waking up to her texts because it feels like she doesn't want to forget me. It's a great feeling to have. That thing in my chest that beats, gets a feeling of excitement when I talk to her.
She makes me feel like I actually still do have a heart somewhere, and those butterflies in my stomach are there too. Yes I know. I'm a guy with a beard and 6 foot exact, but you know what reader? Anyways, it's getting closer and closer to my mom's birthday, so I go and get my paycheck from where I used to work at. Finally I can get her something nice for her birthday because I never could before. Now it's different; now I actually can. I realized that my mother collects charms for her bracelet, and the only store close by is half an hour away. Well time for an adventure.
I've been texting Ava back and forth all day like we usually do, and love, and I decided to invite her and ask if she wants to come with me to this mall half an hour away to come shopping with me. She says yes. I get forced to get a haircut though, and I was nervous through the whole thing. Ava got me through it though. She calmed me down and made me smile throughout the whole thing. I finish my haircut, get home and clean myself up. Then got on my way to get gas and then Ava.
A couple days before this we went to the city. She was heading over there for an interview for college, but I couldn't let her go on her own. She needed a knight, and I wanted to be her knight. I get there and I see her sitting down when my mom drops me off, and every time I see Ava she gets more and more beautiful. Snap out of it Ezio. She's your bestfriend. I get to her and I sit down next to her. I scare her by accident, but we talked for a bit as the train arrived then we board it.
We got on the train and begin the ride to the city. My...our favorite city. We talked and talked, and soon enough we arrive. We used my GPS to find the way to where she needed to go, but I kept having the urge to hold her hand. Even for a minute I would've been fine with it, and I really wanted to. We never did though. We arrive to her destination and that's where we had to separate. I couldn't join her upstairs. I wished I could've hugged her good luck, but I missed my opportunity.
I realized that I had 3 ½ hours to kill, so I went on an adventure. I promised her though that I would do my homework, and I did. Then I went on my adventure. I found myself in a comic book shop, and in nerd heaven. I continued on after buying one comic. I wished the whole time she was with me so we could explore our city together. So that I could hold her close to me the whole time, but she's doing something important. Ezio she's your bestfriend stop it. I went on to a mall then returned to pick her up. After a few more hours of waiting she finally came down. We headed back to the train station, and got on the train. I hoped that she would lay on my arm, or shoulder, just so that I could keep her close but no.
Fast forward to now: before I picked her up she mentioned how she wanted to talk to me about something. I wondered what it was, but I just couldn't wait to see her. I arrive at her house and we go to the mall. I buy the charm and on the way back to the van we had a poke war, and I loved it. I love seeing her smile; it's one of the best smiles I've ever seen. We start to head home, and as we get close to her house we talk about her situation. It's about a guy she really likes, and I'll never forget the first words she said: "...The guy I like is sitting right next to me."
