*AJ's pov
After their first win, they have become huge and everybody starts to take notice of the group. With that, they have to travel abroad often for their tour. I don't come with them because of my condition.
I see that Nayla is still at the office, it seems like she is having her own thoughts right now.
Me: Nayla?
Nayla: Omg! when did you get here? You startled me with my train of thoughts.
Me: Can I ask you something?
I have been keeping this secret to myself ever since I heard the news about my mother and I really do need someone's opinion on it. Nayla is my best friend, so she is the only person who can help me with my problems now.
So I tell her everything. About my idea of quitting my job because my mother just got involved in an accident and how she has broken her legs. The doctor even mention that she might not be able to walk again.
When she hears the news, she cries and even gives me a hug to support me.
Me: What do I do?
Nayla: What's your heart telling you to?
Her tears roll down on her cheeks.
Me: I have to be by my mother's side.
Nayla: AJ, you know I love you right?
She wipes away the tears that she cried before.
Nayla: And don't you forget that you're my best friend, now and forever. As much as it hurts for me to say this, but I think it is best for you to follow your heart. Sure, I'll miss seeing you at the office again. Heck, everyone's going to miss you, but if it's what you want to do, then do it. Don't let other things hold you back.
Me: Thanks, I love you.
Nayla: Sorry, but I'm straight.
Me: Oh, shut up.
I tell her that I will go back home soon and she decides to follow me. She even says that she will skip all of the seminars that she should attend for me. She is such a sweet friend indeed.
