Another Spring Day

Chapter Seven

We left to Malaysia the same week after I have turn in my resignation letter.

Bang PD: We are devastated to let you go AJ. You have done a lot to our company. You have taught the boys a lot. They will be very upset when they learn that you have resigned.

Me: Thank you so much PD-nim for trusting me after all these years. You took me at a young age, trusting that I could do an excellent job here. With that thought in mind, I had worked very hard to give whatever is best for the company. As for the boys, I will miss working with them. But they will be okay without me.

I give him a bitter smile. I really will miss the boys. I couldn't even imagine how they would behave and act when I am not around. I hope they will be good to the new interpreters and listen to them very well.

Bang PD: You know that even though I have hired more interpreters, they can never be as good as you. I really don't want to let you go. But looking at your conditions, I have no choice but to let go of you. I wish you good luck in the future.

Me: Thank you so much PD-nim.

I bow to him. For the last time as my superior. I walk out from the door and take a deep breath. Outside the office, Nayla is waiting for me in the waiting lounge. She walks towards me.

Nayla: Hey, are you okay?

Me: Yeah, I am fine. Let's go. There are a lot of things to be packed.

Nayla: Okay. I have all day to help you with it.

Me: Thanks Nayla.

Nayla: Don't thank me just yet.

Both Nayla and I pack all of my things in a box. Documents, files, books of all languages, all of it. Soon, my desk will belong to a new interpreter. I take a piece of paper and write a note on it.

To: ms/mr interpreter

My name is AJ and i used to fill this position as BTS' interpreter. All I wanna say is: Good Luck and have fun.

I really have no idea why I am writing this, but I feel like I have to at least say something to you who have replaced me. I hope you have a lot of fun working in this company because I know I did!

You will feel weird looking at these boys at first and will feel like giving up straight away because of their behaviors. But trust me on this, once you get to know them, they are not bad at all.

They might not listen to you at most but, when they behave, they are quite an angel. You will also learn that each and every one of them are special in their own ways. And that's what makes it more fun working with them.

I really hope you enjoy working at this place especially working with the boys. Try to understand them, they will understand you.

PP/S: i have left a folder for you with this letter and it contains all of the informations about the members. Please study them as your early precautions. Just kidding ;)

I fold the letter in threes and put it on top of the folder that I have mentioned in the letter.

I will miss working at this place.

"Hey, are you ready?" Nayla asks.

"Yup, I am ready." I could feel my eyes watery but I hold the tears back as I don't want Nayla to see it. But she knows everything about me and I know I can't hide anything from her. Knowing this, she gives me a hug.

I bid farewells to all the staffs and most of them wish good luck and ask me to take care of myself. I never forget to thank each and everyone of them for all their teachings.
