I sniffled and I felt myself shaking, I have never been so scared in so long. I then let myself collapse from weakness onto Karma's lap and closed my eyes. I felt myself Re tears pour out if my eyes, but I was silent. I felt Karma's warm hand comfort me. "Stop shaking, you aren't a leaf." He joked around, trying to make me feel better. I smiled a bit. I could hear Okuda heavily breathing from crying and fear. Kayano was silent as she peeked through the bushes keeping watch. "K-Kaede.... do you need help keeping watch for enimies?" Okuda asked with a heavy yet gentle voice.
I could feel from Kayano's voice she was smiling not wanting to frighten Okuda, nor the rest of us. "It's okay, you and Nagisa rest, you both have ran and done so much already. I can't imagine what it was like out there." Right after she said that, I let myself fall asleep on Karma's lap, curled up beside him.
Dream
My eyes slowly opened. I was on the forest floor alone in our hiding spot. I then sat up and rubbed my eye, remembering what was going on. "Where am I?" I said to myself, slightly yawning. "Karma? Kayano? Okuda?" I called out as I began to get on my feet from behind the bushes and shrubs.
My eyes widened and I spotted that nobody was there. Where did they go?
I wondered. I was barefoot in my slave rags, but my chains were gone. I looked around me for a while, without moving thinking I was trapped.
Then I froze once I spotted a body, a dead body covered in blood, that belonged to Teresaka. I stepped back a step. Then looked to my left seeing a pile of dead bodies, they ones who had already escaped. Why are they all dead? Didn't they escape? I thought. I was shaking with fear and wondering what had happened. Then I looked down at my feet, seeing a knife covered in blood. I jumped and looked up spotting more bodies. My heart pounded and I turned around, to avoid to horrible image in front of me. Then my heart dropped to my feet when I saw Kayano and Okuda, dead on the ground together, with knives in there backs. They were bloody and almost blue from poison. They were extremely pale and had tears on their face. My legs became weak.
I kept myself from collapsing when I heard Karma's voice calling for me.
Nagisa! Nagisa! Run! Help me!
I suddenly found myself running towards his voice . I was closer to the end of the forest, almost smiling to get closer to him. I wanted to save him so badly I could cry, but I have cried enough for now, all I could do was run until I met him.
And once I reached close enough to determine where he was, he stopped. My heart was pounding so hard and loud it almost left my chest. I could barely breathe, and it suddenly became foggy. Then I heard something behind me.
Before I could run, I noticed Asano flying towards me with a knife. I began to run, but before going very far, I felt the knife go through my back. I fell instantly and Karma began to speak again. Everything was a blur and faded to black.
End of dream
"Nagisa wake up!" I felt a hand shake me, as he repeated my name. "Nagisa!" He whispered. I slowly opened my eyes. I suddenly felt more calm. He smiled at me. "Thank god your awake I thought you died from fright, did you have a nightmare"
I sat up and caught my breath, I nodded, unable to speak. Once I saw his smile, I couldn't help but wrap my arms tight around him. "Must have been scary, huh?" He said calmly.
I nodded. Small tears fell from my eyes. He then grasped on my shoulders and shoved me a back, making me let go. He smiled gently at me, "I'll be sure you make it out of this hell alive. We will live and survive together, so don't be afraid. Don't be afraid of death either, death is just a word that secretly means welcome. It means welcome your troubleless new afterlife. But you shouldn't have to leave your current home so early." I smiled, comforted by his kind words.
Then he put both hands on my cheeks gently, he looked at me straight in the eye with his loving expression. He brushed my bangs from a face, then suddenly I felt his lips touch mine. My heart was warm and I blushed. I froze for moment then smiled back. I wrapped my arms around him softly. I looked behind him, Kanayo and Okuda were sound asleep.
