Chapter 2: Fun at the fair

When they got to the fair Kori parked the car and paid for their tickets. "Alright guys. Lets go have some fun!" beast boy shouted with joy.

They went to go get on a few rides. Garfield was getting hungry so he decided to go stuff his face with ice cream, popcorn, and cotton candy. They had even rode a roller coaster. When they got off beastboy was greener than usual. "Are you ok amigo?" Jaime asked. "No." beastboy moaned. "I think I ate too much sugar." He ran over to the nearest trash can.

Raven started to get bored. "I'm gonna go play a game or something." raven said. "Ill join you." Damian said. They headed off towards one of the booths. Raven saw something that caught her eye.She remembered when her mother had bought her a toy that looked just like this one when she was younger. It was purple teddy bear that was holding a blue heart.

"You want that?" Damian asked. She stared at it for a few more seconds and then nodded. They walked towards the booth with the purple bunny. It was a ring toss game. "It costs $1.50 to play. If you win you get 40 tokens" "How much does that cost?"  Damian asked. "The bear cost 30 tokens." he replied. Damian payed the guy to play the game.
As expected, Damian got the rings on all the bottles so he won 50 tokens. He paid the man the 30 tokens and the man handed him the bear. As they walked away Damian handed raven the bear. "Thanks" she said with a small smile. For about an hour, they spent the whole time playing games at the booths and won a few tickets and prizes.

They started to get a bit tired so they decided to take a break. They both sat there in silence until Damian finally spoke up. "So why did you want that bear so much?"
"Because its special to me. My mom bought me one that looked just like it when I was younger....but you know... I lost it the day my father destroyed Azarath" she replied.

"Well....I'm glad you have something to remind you of her now."
"Why are you being so nice to me?" raven question.
"Because you're nice to me....I guess." he replied. She smiled.

Suddenly she felt a sharp pain in her head. She closed her eyes and held her fingers to her temples.
"You ok?" he asked concerned.
"Yeah I'm fine. Just a head ache I guess."
She hadn't told anyone, but her father had been threatening her and telling her that he would always be trying to escape and get his revenge.

"You ready to go?"
"No. I'm fine...besides....I wouldn't want to ruin their fun." she pointed towards Logan, Jaime, and Kori. Logan was running around like he was having the time of his life while Kori and Jaime were laughing. "Alright" he said.

"Wanna play few more games?" raven suggested.
"Why? So I can beat you again?" Damian taunted.
"You wish" she smirked.
They raced towards more booths to play more games and competed with each other to see who could win the most tickets.
