Love birds: Damirae

Chapter 10

Before we get started I would just like to say that I wanted to make a short little Damirae chapter...it may not be that good because I'm not really into romance and stuff...so it might not be what you expect..anyway...on with the story!!!

Damian hadn't seen Raven two  weeks now. Of course the titans had been visiting her quite often, especially Damian but the titans hadn't had time to visit her lately because of missions and other important things. He had grown quite worried for her. Every second, every moment that Raven had to spend in the hospital, he felt terrible. Damian was in the training room. He was taking out his anger on a punching bag. Damian growled in frustration. This. Punch. Is. Punch. All. Punch. My. Punch. Fault! He held on to the punching bag and rested his head on it. He walked out if the towards the exit of the training room with a deep sigh.

Just as he was about to walk out of the training room he bumped into Kori. "Hi Damian" the space princess beamed. "Hey" he said. His face was expressionless, but Kori could tell something was bothering him. "What's the matter Damian" Kori asked worriedly. "Nothing" he lied. Kori frowned deeply. "Damian I know something's bothering you" He looked down so he wouldn't have to met her eyes.

"Is this about Raven?" Kori asked. "No Kori. Please...just...leave me alone" Damian tried to walk past her but she stepped in the way. "Damian..."she placed a hand on his shoulder. He shrugged it off. "It isn't you're fault Damian" she tried to reassure him. "Yes it is!" Damian snapped. Kori's face changed into a hurt expression. He took a deep breath a tried to calm down. "I'm sorry. I would just like to be alone. Please" Damian said in a lower tone. Kori nodded and he walked out of the training room.

'This is all your fault. If you hadn't have let her out of your sight then this wouldn't have happened' Damian sighed. Raven told him not to be so hard on himself, but how could he not? He let her get hurt. He had failed her. Damian felt it was his job to protect Raven. He wouldn't admit it, but he cared about Raven a lot. He was beginning to miss Raven. He decided that he wanted to visit her at the hospital. He walked out of his room and towards the common room. He looked around and saw Kori sitting on the couch next to the others. She was video chatting with Grayson. 'Of course' Damian chuckled. He'd never admit it to Grayson or Kori, but he was happy for the two.

Damian quietly made his way towards the couch. "Hi Kori" he greeted her. She looked up from her computer. "Hi Damian. Need something?" Kori smiled. "Actually..yes. I was wondering if we could visit Raven today" he said trying his best to hide his blush. Kori smile grew bigger. "Actually...I've been meaning to tell you. Raven is coming home today" Damian's heart nearly leapt out if his chest. He gave a small smile. "Oh.That's good" Damian said trying to hide his happiness. Jaime paused his video game. 
"Oh come on Dami. Don't act like you're not happy your girlfriend is coming home" Jaime teased. Damian just rolled his eyes, but slightly smiled. "Richard will be over with her shortly" Kori informed them. Damian couldn't believe she was finally coming back to the tower.

Everyone sat down and quietly enjoyed themselves. Damian sat impatiently and waited for Raven to get back. Soon the doors of the tower finally opened to reveal two people. Richard and Raven. Everyone walked towards Raven excitedly."Hey guys" Raven greeted everyone. After every said their 'hellos' and gave Raven a hug Damian walked over to her. "Raven" he called. He walked up to her quickly and gave her a hug. He held her tightly. "I... missed you Raven" Raven was shocked. 'Did he just say he
... missed me?' Raven smiled to herself. "I..missed you too" she said. He looked over to find grayson was smirking at him. "Aw...little Dami is growing up" Richard wiped a way a fake tear. "Shut up Grayson" Damian glared at him. Raven and Damian both looked away and blushed. Kori walked over to Richard and threw his arms around him. "Hi Richard" she smiled. "Hey Kori" he said returning her embrace.

Damian grabbed Raven's hand and pulled her towards the roof. "Damian where are we going?" Raven asked confused. "I need to talk to you...about what happened two weeks ago" he said pulling her along with him.

"So there was a blonde girl?" Raven asked. She was shocked. "Yes. I don't know who she was, but she helped us save you. We need to find out more about her" Damian said. "Why?" Raven asked. "I don't know yet. I have my suspicions." Damian replied. Raven chuckled. "Of course you do, Boy Blunder" Raven teased him. Damian raised his eyebrows in shock at the nickname that Raven had just given him.

"That's not going to stick with me is it?" Damian asked as his cheeks flushed a bright pink. "Of course it is" Raven giggled. Damian slightly chuckled as well. "Raven" he began. "Yes?" she gave him a questioning look. He reached down and grabbed her hand. "I'm sorry" Damian looked down in shame. She placed her hand under his chin and pulled his head up towards her. "Sorry for what, Damian?" she asked with a worried tone.

"I'm sorry I failed you. I'm sorry I let you get hurt"

"Damian...you didn't fail me. You've saved my life plenty of times. You saved me from my father. You didn't give up, even when I wanted to. Without you..no one would be here today. I wouldn't be here. Thank you" Raven said and pulled him into an embrace. Damian smiled and hugged her back. When they finished hugging Damian took a deep breath spoke up again. "Raven..I'm not exactly sure how I feel about you...but the short time that you were gone made me realise that...I don't exactly know how I feel about you..but I do know that you're the first person that has ever made me feel this way and I care about you..a lot. If anything were to ever happen to you then I'd be...lost" Damian blushed. Raven stood speechless. Damian had actually opened up to her.

"I..I feel the same way Damian" 

Damian smiled and held her hand once again.

"I think the others are waiting for us inside" he nervously chuckled. Raven nodded and they both headed inside.

"It's seems that Damian kid has grown very close to this... Raven girl" a small figure spoke. The same two dark figures were sitting in a nearby tree by the Titans Tower.

"Yes. He has indeed. He's getting weaker...this gives us an advantage. Once you manage to gain their trust...they will surely be in for a big surprise." The bigger figure cackled.

Okay...okay...so this chapter may not have been all that great but I tried. What? I'm not really big on this type of stuff. I'm mostly into horror.😬 This may have been a bit of a let down. (Be honest)😂 Thanks again for reading! My next chapter will be out soon! See you guys later! Bye!✌
