Chapter 7: The start of something new

"I don't want to talk right now Kori" Garfield sighed. "Garfield....will you please at least just tell me why you attacked Damian" Kori asked softly. "I don't want to talk about it" he said. "Garfield...I know something's wrong. I've seen the way you've been acting lately" she had a worried expression on her face. "It's nothing Kori. It's just...never mind. I can't tell you"
She sat down on his bed. She patted the bed signaling for him to join her.

"Garfield, I know you're not ok. Its like every time you see Damian and Raven together you get either angry or upset...you can be honest with me. Are you jealous of Damian?" Kori asked in a hushed tone. "Y-yes...no..m-maybe..I don't know Kori. Something's been off with me lately. It's just..when I see them together..I get this burn in my chest and I just want to...throw something" he balled his fist.

"If I may ask Garfield...do you have a crush on Raven?" she asked. "I don't know. I mean yeah..I've had a crush on her for a year now. I just didn't know how to tell her. But..if she likes Damian then I guess I can learn to live with that and give them their space"he admitted.

"Thank you Garfield" Kori smiled.
"For what?"
"For being mature about this. And don't worry Garfield...you'll find someone some day. Now..I think you should go apologize to him" she said getting up. "Yeah" he nodded. She smiled at him one more time before leaving his room. Garfield got up and walked out of his room to go find Damian. He walked to Damian's room and knocked on her door. No answer.
He guessed he was in the training room since that's where he'd usually be.

When he opened the door and walked into the training room, he saw Damian punching a punching bag. He quietly walked over to him. "Damian.." he said cautiously. Damian continued to hit the punching bag. "Damian" he said a bit louder. "What!" he spat coldly. He glared at Garfield. "I just wanted to talk to you..about earlier" he said in a hushed tone. "What? You mean when you tried to attack me for no reason? Last time I checked friends don't try to hurt each other" He turned his attention back to the punching bag and started to punch it harder.

"I know Damian...I'm sorry. I've been real jerk to you. I just got so jealous" he looked down at his feet in shame. Damian stop and turned his attention back towards him. "Jealous? Jealous why?" he asked confused. "Of you" he replied.
"Why were you jealous of me?" he raised an eyebrow. "Because. You're always with Raven. It took her a year to actually say something to me...but then you came and you both immediately became friends."
"So..you're Jealous of our friendship?" he asked still slightly confused. "No Damian. The thing is..I've had a crush on Raven for a long time..a year to be exact. And when you came..well..she seemed to really like you. I mean..you guys are always hanging out all the time and I guess..I just felt left out" he said quietly.

Damian stared at him for a second. "Wait...you think me and Raven like each other?" his eyes grew wide.
"Well..yeah..don't you?" Garfield asked.
"What! N-no.." Damian raised his hands defensively.
"Damian..you can tell me the truth"
"I am telling you the truth. Me and Raven are just friends" he said glaring at him.
"Yeah....friends that like each other.." Garfield said with a smirk on his face.
"I don't like Raven. I mean she nice and all but I don't like her like that" he emphasized the word that. "So you say? Well tell me..why do you always hang out with her?" his smirk grew bigger.

"Because were friends" he said turning red. "Right...and how do you feel about her?" he asked.
"Wh-what do you mean?"
"How do you feel about Raven dude? What do you feel when you're around her?"
"Um...well....when I'm around her..I feel a pain in my chest..but..it's not a bad kind of pain...it actually feels quite nice." he admitted.
"Ok so...why do you think feel this pain in your chest?" Garfield asked.
"Logan, this is irrelevant. I'm Damian Wayne I don't share my feelings with anyone. And even if I did have feelings for Raven, it would be none of your business"
"Just go tell dude" he said smiling.
"Tell who what?" he asked. Garfield gave him an are you serious look. "Go tell Raven that you like her" he pointed towards the door.
"Logan..even if I did like Raven..what makes you think she'd like me back?" he asked.
"I know she does dude. Don't worry. If you don't tell her she'll never know. Trust me, he said looking down, I know from experience"
"Why are you doing this for me? I thought said that you liked Raven" Damian raised a brow.
"Because Damian..you're my friend...and I shouldn't have acted so selfish. From now on..I promise not to get in the way of you two"

"Thanks Gar" Damian said giving him a slight smile. "No problem dude. Now go tell her" Garfield said. "Tell who what?" They both turned around to see Raven standing in the door way.
She walked over to them. "So I see you two made up" she said smiling.
"Yeah" Damian said slightly blushing.
"Yeah....and Raven..I just wanted to apologize for being such a jerk. I know it wasn't right of me and I promise...it won't happen again" he said.

"Its fine Gar" she smiled at him. "Thanks. Well....I have to go. I'll see you two later" Garfield winked at Damian before he walked out of the training room. "What was all that about?" Raven asked confused. "Um...nothing. Could I talk to you for a second Raven?" he asked. "Sure"she said. He grabbed her hand and sat down on the bench and she joined him. He took a deep breath.

Raven..I'm not entirely sure about how I feel...but I do know that you're my best friend and I like you..a lot" he said still slightly blushing. "Its just that..whenever I'm around you...I feel...uneasy..like..I have butterflies in my stomach. Raven I just want to tell you that...I think..I have a crush on you" Damian said with his cheeks turning dark red. Raven sat there in shock. She didn't know what to say.

"I know you probably don't feel the same way..but I just thought you should know" he said as he was getting up. "Damian wait" Raven said grabbing his arm. "I-I think I do too" she said blushing as well. "What?" Damian raised his eyebrows in shock. Raven stood up. "I think that I like you too Damian" He smiled at her."This whole thing is a bit new to me and I've never expressed my feelings for anyone..but..I'm willing to try if you are" she said and held her hand out. "I...I'd like that" he said and took her hand.

Ok so that was the end of this chapter and i hope I did well on it. I will probably be bringing terra into the next chapter....so brace yourself. Lol. Anyway..I hoped you all enjoyed this chapter.
