Siegfried's POV
I sigh in defeat, my suspicions confirmed. "Now what..." I say, noticing my voice is deeper than normal. She's turned me into whatever creature she is. I stand about eight feet tall, built big and powerful, thick black fur covering my whole body. I sit down, looking myself over. "I suppose there's no point in denying it, this is me now..." I say. "You'll get used to it." A female voice says from behind me. It's her, the creature who made me this way. I nod, standing.
Nolan's POV
We come out of the cave in a large wheat field, no longer underground. Fenix follows behind me, pulling his binoculars and scanning the horizon. "There!" He says, pointing and handing me the binos. I see two wolf-like creatures, one gigantic and male in build, the other smaller and female, both about 200 feet away in a clearing. Fenix starts. "What if-" "No, it can't be." I cut in, not even wanting to consider the possibility. I take hold of my Webley, pulling back the hammer. Fenix checks the chamber on his 1911. He nods to me and we move towards them. We approach and crouch in the grain, watching them. The female creature looks over at me. I notice Sig's Galil on the male's back. "Shit..." I sigh. "You're right." Fenix responds to that with an "I told you so" look. When we look back to the clearing, the two beasts are directly in front of us, both crouched and looking us over. "Woah." I say. The big one motions for us to follow him.
Fenix's POV
We stand up and follow Sig and the other creature. "Is this real..." I ask myself as I watch them, mere feet away from me, two beasts of legend. We're led back to the RV. "Well, what now?" Nolan says. Sig and the other one seem to discuss something, and the female creature walks behind him, pressing a spot on his back. We all watch as he returns to human form, his clothes tattered. The other creature runs off. "Let's get the hell out of here." Sig says. We all climb into the RV and Nolan floors it until we get back to Moundville by nightfall. He turns the RV off. "I know we all want to, but we can't just pretend none of that happened." He says. Sig looks at his hands, then the ceiling, sighing. "I know... This is just... too much." He says. "Where's Grace?" He says suddenly. We all turn around, and she's laying on the bed in the back of the RV, snoozing away. Another sigh, this time one of relief escapes all of us. "We can't pretend it didn't happen, but we don't have to let it stop us from going on as usual." Sig says. "Going on as usual? Oh, cause if you suddenly walk outside as a big furry man-wolf, your neighbors will just smile and wave, like nothing's fucking amiss." Nolan says, his British accent saturating. Sig laughs and I fail to hold in a hearty chuckle. "Well, it's not that bad. I have full control over it." Sig says. "Over what?" Grace says, waking up. "My fear of spiders, I've gotten over it, heheh." Sig says, improvising so as not to freak her out. Grace hadn't seen him in beast form. "Hah, scared of spiders..." She says, dozing off again. "Alright guys, can you drop me off?" I say. Nolan nods, starts up the RV and we head off towards my house.

I reach Fenix's place and he leaves the RV. "Stay safe guys." He says, going inside. I pull out of his driveway and start towards Sig's place. "Oi, do you know where she lives?" I ask, looking at Grace in the rear view. "102 Nutmeg Avenue." She says. We drop Grace off next, and she leaves without a word, likely due to tiredness. Finally, I drive to Siegfried's house and he grabs his gear from the back. "Call me in the morning and let me know if anything weird happened with your beasty self." I say. "I will." He replies. He walks up and we shake hands, and he leaves the RV, shutting the door. I turn on the radio on the drive home. "Crazy day." I say. I pull into my backyard, where I park the RV and lock it. I run up the condo stairs and head into my apartment, setting the Webley on the nightstand. I lay in bed for no more than half a minute. "Fuck that." I say. "Way too much shit happened today." I mutter, reaching under my bed and grabbing my laptop. I fire up some Final Fantasy.
Grace's POV
I shut my door behind me, turning the deadbolt. I set my revolver and its holster back in the oak gun cabinet I built with my granddad. "Miss you." I say, shutting the two cabinet doors. I latch the doors shut and hear a thump. I look out the window that looks out to my backyard, seeing the dense woods behind my house, dimly lit by the moon. I see movement between the trees. I spot a dark silhouette darting between them. And suddenly it's right in front of me, slamming into the window. I recoil in fear, screaming. I stand up, looking out the now empty window. "Fuck." I say, still catching my breath. I close the curtains. I retrieve my revolver and set it on the desk beside my bed. I'm not sure when, but eventually I fall asleep.
