Alec and Beth stood outside of Hotel DeMort. They waited until they sun started to rise so the vampires couldn't follow them outside.
" You ready hot stuff?" She flirted and winked. She had no idea that Magnus and Alec were married.
"Don't call me that." He replied, " you know I'm gay and married right?"
"Oh. Uh... Sorry I didn't know you weren't straight"
"Yeah you just assumed like everyone else"

Few minutes there was an awkward silence. Neither person knew what to say.
" You remember the plan? We wait till sunrise then you go in the back to distract the vamps. You give me the signal then I go in, get Magnus, then we meet back here. Got it?"
"Yeah, totally. Lets do this"
Alec could hear the fear and uncertainty in her voice. She has never been on a mission like this before. She's never taken on a vampire. Fighting multiple at once would definitely be a challenge.
"You okay?" Alec asked.
"I'm just a little nervous. That's all"
"Hey. Listen to me. You are going to be fine. You can do this. I know you can."
Knowing it was time to put the plan into action, Beth went around to the neighboring building so she could get into the Dumort.
After a few minutes of waiting, Alec heard a whistle coming from Beths direction. Knowing that that was the signal, Alec quietly entered the hotel. With his bow at the ready, he looked around for Magnus. Finally he found a locked door.
All of the others were open so he must be in here.
Alexander took out his stele to unlock the door. Once he opened the door, the only person in the room was Camille. Alec pointed his bow and arrow at the vampire.
"Where is he!" Alec yelled
"Magnus? Oh darling. Don't you know? He left. I made him leave. I gave him 48 hours to find the mortal cup. But that was... What...about 20 hours ago?if he finds it will let both of you go. Of he fails, I will kill you myself."
"28 hours left! That not nearly enough time! We've been lookimg for two months and we still don't have a single lead."
" I guess you'll just have to make it work then."
