My New Life and Coping With It

How it All Happened........

 I lost everything that was close to me in a span of 20 minutes. I'm Jade Wornsvy and this is my life told by me.

my parents and sister went out to the mall on a sunday. it was raining heavily that day too. they said that they wouldn't be long. i nodded my head and said bye. then they left. i was watching the news when they cut it and placed in a new story. thats when i saw it.

my parents car, flipped over another car. paramedics were going in and out getting people to the hospital. and then i saw my parents and sister on stretchers being taken to the hospital. in a flash i had on my rain boots, keys, rain coat, not bothering changing pjs and left my house. i drove to the hospital as fast as i could.

while driving i murmured, " please don't take them. Please don't take them. Please don't take them." over ans over again. there were so many things going through my head. "why did it have to be them? why couldn't it be someone else? are they okay? will they make it?" i made it to the hospital and parked my car. i heard sirens.

then i saw them. my mom, dad, and sister all being wheeled in on stretchers. i practicly flew beside them until the curtains closed behind them. i paced back and forth waiting for some news. while it felt like forever it was only 5 minutes before the doctor came out with a poker face on. i swear doctors have killer poker faces! he told me i could go in and talk to my family 1 last time. before he could finish i rush right past him.

the sight took me off gaurd. they were all hooked up on machines and IV's. they were sickly pale. tears streamed down my face at the sight.

iwent to my dad first.

"daddy?" i whispered

"sweetheart, i love you. c-call Tessa Newman and tell her that i'm asking for a favor. tell her that i'm entrusting total care of you to them." he whispered

"i love u to, daddy....." i kissed him on the forehead.

i moved on to my mom.

"mommy?" i whispered.

"darling is that you? i-i love you. don't ever forget that. we'll always watch over you." she murmured at the end.

"i know. i love you too." i whispered. i kissed her forehead.

Lastly was my little sister.

"J-jade? i love you. i-it hurts. can u stop it?" she asks

"Lea," my voice cracked. it hurts to see my only family so vulnerable and in pain, "i can't help u. i'm so sorry.i love u too. wait a few more minutes and it will go away. good bye Lea." i whisper and then kiss her forehead.

I stepped back and said good bye i last time to them and they chorused a weak good bye. and as if by a spell, they passed away at the same time. the blow felt like i was hit by a truck at full force. i stumbled back until my back hit the wall and then i slid down. i couldn't hold back my sobs anymore. i curled up into a ball on the ground and cried my eyes out.

i kept chorusing "why?why?why?why?" over and over again.
