Chapter 8: Little Kids and A New Discovery

I woke up to find myself in a green room with wood floors. I tried to get up but couldn't. I looked down to see an arm around mine I tensed and followed the arm to see who it was connected to and it was connected to Inari?!? 'What the pineapple?' I thought. I nudged the kid.

"Hey kid, I know you are adorable and all that but I would like to get up now." I said.

"Five more hours mom.." He mumbled. 'I know Emi always thought I would be a mom but I bet she didn't even think of this...' I decided since he wouldn't wake up and I wanted to move I picked him up. 'This kid weighs like nothing...I wish I did.' I sighed. I walked passed a sleeping Chie to Kakashi's room knowing the others would be there and got ready to hit Naruto if he decided to yell. I admit I did feel protective of the kid since I know his past and I wanted him to have a good dream for once that didn't cause his tears.

"AS-" Naruto shouted as predicted. I hit him on the head before he could wake Inari up.

"Shhhh the kid is sleeping!" I wisper shouted at him. He just held his head and nodded. I then sat down on the floor and  placed Inari so he wal leaning against. me. I was surprised he didn't wake up. Tazuna's daughter came in with a panicked look on her face.

"Father I can't find In-" She stopped talking when she saw Inari in my lap sleeping.

"I'm sorry I woke up with him clinging to my arm. I still cant detatch him from it. I just carried him here." I said softly. 

"Sorry about that he sleeps like a rock it takes a miracle to wake him up." She said quietly. I nodded.

"Hey Asami why are you all quiet you are usually hyper?" Sakura asked. Everyone turned to me showing that they all were wondering about my sudden quietness.

"It's too early in the morning for energy and plus I don't want to wake the kid." I said quietly.

"Oh..." Everyone said and I sweatdropped. I turned to Kakashi. He looked deep in thought.

"What is it Kakashi?" I asked although I already knew it.

"Zabuza is still alive." Kakashi stated. I nodded my head.

"That makes sense" I said. 

"My name is Inari." I hear from below me. I look down to see the sleepy boy looking up at me with a smile.

"My name is Asami. Why did you come into my room where I slept and snuggle with my arm?" I asked.

Inari blushed and said, "I felt like you could take away my nightmares, so I came to you." He said quietly. I smiled and hugged him.

"Did you have a good dream?" I asked.

"Yup" he replied.

"Then you can see me any time you have a nightmare." I said. He smiled at that and hugged me tighter. My team was talking this whole time while Tazuna was staring at me and Inari. 

~Tazuna's POV~

I looked at the two children in front of me. 'How could he smile like that? Ever sice it happened Inari has been depressed no matter what we did for him.' 

"I felt like you could take away my nightmares, so I came to you." He said quietly to Asami. She smiled and hugged him.

"Did you have a good dream?" She asked.

"Yup" he replied. "Then you can see me any time you have a nightmare." She said to him. He smiled at that and hugged her tighter. 

'What does she have that could make others smile like that?' I thought.
