Chapter 17: Meeting Itatchi

"Hey Naruto!" I shout running towards him, chie following me.  "What Asami!? I have to go! Pervy sage might leave me!" He shouted at me while he sprinted to the gates. "I'm going with you!" I shouted. "Who said?" a voice asked behind me. I turned around to see the Pervy sage himself. "I did, besides I might know where Tsunade is, that is if she is where she said she was going when I left her." I put my index finger on my chin and looked at the sky. I shrugged my shoulders and pulled out a small bag from behind me. 

"I'm already packed and approoved to go." I said smiling. Jiraiya looked shocked to say the least and Naruto was just smiling beside him. I started walking to the gate and said, "Shouldn't we get going before she leaves the gambling village?" They started speeding up until they passed me. "HEY! NOT SO FAST!!!" I shouted, running to catch up to the two morons. I grabbed their shoulders and shoved them down onto the ground. I pinched the bridge of my nose, "I didn't even say where the village was." Jiraiya looked as if the thought had just dawned on him while Naruto looked ashamed that I shoved him down onto the ground.

"Now only I know what city were going to so you can't ditch me because I won't tell you where were going." I smiled at my brilliant plan. Besided Jiraya you will need backup if a certain group come along, right? You need someone to watch this knucklehead's back." Jiraya's eyes widened when I said 'group' and a shocked nod came from him on the rest. I smiled, "Ok let's get going!" I turned around an ran down the road, hearing many insults coming from behind me, mostly from Naruto. I just laughed.

When we were farther away from the gates Naruto started getting antsy about his new jutsu, asking pervy sage what it was. I sighed and controlled my anger towards making him shut up with my mind. Slowly Pervy sage grew mad and tried to show off to Naruto and I. This time I really did lose my temper and tripped the Sage. I smirked and said, "Yeah, the legendary ninja that trips." Naruto started laughing and Jiraya looked humiliated. I decided to have some fun and dragged him backwards by one foot with my mind, I smiled the whole time.

When we enterd the hotel I noticed there was a pretty lady who was under a genjutsu. I sighed as the perv ran away with her. "Hey Naruto lets head to the room and train. Illkeep an eye out for the perv and make him sleep in the hall for being a perv." Naruto nodded and we walked to the room and he sat on the bed cross legged while I stayed at the door waiting for Itatchi. Not long after there was a knock on the door and I gulped. I took a deep breath and sent a thought through the door. 'This is the wrong room, you need to check the 2nd floor.' "Asami let the pervert in already!" Naruto shouted from behind me. I gasped. No! That wasn't supposed to happen! I quickly backed away from the door as it was kicked in. immediately my mind kicked into gear and I focoused my mind on Itatchi and Kisami, freezing them in their positions.

"Naruto, go find Jiraiya, now." I said calmly, but on the inside I was panicking, they had so mich will to capture Naruto. I could barely hold them and when I told Naruto to leave their will grew stronger. My grip on them is slipping. "But...." Naruto tried to say. "NOW!" I shouted at him. He stubbornly sat there. I took a deep breath, "Naruto if we are to survive I need you to find Jiraiya, now, please do this, for me.." This got him to look at me, I gave him a pleading look. He nodded reluctantly and then ran towards the lobby.

I sighed in relief and looked at Itatchi's forehead, avoiding his eyes. "I am truly sorry Itatchi, and Kisame?...Are you part fish or is that just the look you were going for?" I asked. Kisami grew angry, "Sorry...." I apologised. The moment grew awkward and I noticed their will slipping, they were curious as to why I didn't kill them or knock them unconcious. I spoke to Itatchi in his mind, ' I am sorry for how you had to betray Sasuke like that, the village shouldn't have had to do that to you. They should have explained the situation to Sasuke while you were getting rid of the leaf village's threat. I am sorry for the pain you feel in here.' At that last word I put my hand on Itatchi's heart and I felt it beat faster, I smiled.

"What the heck Itatchi? Why is she smiling like that?" Kiami asked. I turned towards Kisame, 'Because I told him my apologies fishy.'  Kisame looked shocked that I could speak to him through my mind. "You will leave Naruto alone and tell your leader that I will protect him everytime and I will let you two live to be the messengers, but if he fails to get the message I will not hesitate to kill the next Akatsuki member that I see." Kisame smirked. He thinks I know nothing about them, he's wrong I know eveything. Why should I tell him that though?

Suddenly Sasuke came up the stairs. "Let go of him Asami! This is my fight!" I growled. Itatchi gave me a warning look. 'He needs to know and you need to survive or Madara will get what he wants!' Itatchi looked at me shocked. "Let go!" Sasuke shouted at me, I shook my head 'no'. 'But I will only tell if you wish it Itatchi.'  I said, my thought to him sounding like a wisper. "Let the traitor go or I will hurt you Asami!" I looked at Sasuke with a firm look and said, "Give me your best shot, I dare you." Sasuke looked at me shocked but I just stared at him openly. Finally he came to a decision, He took one hand in the other and created the Chidori.

I sighed, I can only control two people at a time... I thought to myself. But I can't let them go.. I thought again. Then I decided I wouldn't let them go I would only make it look like I did. I fell to the floor dramatically, clutching my head then falling sideways, landind awkwardly on the floor. I made my mind look through Itatchi's eyes. I forced Itatchi to jump back, Sasuke just missed him. I made Itatchi grab Sasuke's wrist and stare into his eyes. 'I will let you do as you wish Itatchi, but I will not let you have complete control over your body, I can't let you go.' I thought softly. 'I understand'  was his only reply.

I followed through with every instruction that itatchi gave me, everything but the breaking Sasuke's wrist, I couldn't do it. When Itatchi told me to activate and replay the horrifying memory, I also forced the Mangekyo Sharingan to replay Sasuke's happiest moments with team seven, there were only two of which he cherished and this nearly made me blow my cover. One was of him spying on me in the clearing while I worked with waterbending, the other was when I woke up after being put into a faked death by Haku. The final thing I placed into his memory was a dream that I made.

It was about team seven, we would be older and we were smiling at Sasuke saying that he was strong and that he was our family, the family of team seven. It had us all sitting on a lake shore saying those things and comforting him about how his family died, kinda like thereapy, only I am hoping this one works. When I finished I let one tear fall down my face, while on the inside I was praying with all my might for him to stay with us.
