Chapter 15: Betrayal

Later on I found out that the third test was tomorrow. I was mad at Tsunade for making me almost late for the rest of the exams. I then remembered that I needed  to restock on weapons. You see Tsunade's training is super difficult, especially the crash course. I now know how to heal and have immense strength. I just hope its enough to survive the attack. I grimaced thinking about Moo-moo.  I went to the weapons shop to buy more tools that us ninja use. I accidentally walked into someone and fell onto my backside. I looked up to catch a lazy eye. I smiled, Shikamaru, lazy as a fat cat but very helpful.

"How troublesome." he sighed looking down at me. I smiled "Sorry Shika wasn't whatching where I was going..." He rolled his eyes and kept walking. I growled and tackled him, "It's polite to say hello to someone who has been gone for a month Shika!" I shouted at him. He sighed again and I anime cried. I am one big problem to him. He just got off of the ground and  dusted himself off while mumbling a 'hello' and left. I growled but went to the weaponry store.

 While I was wandering around grabbing all of the nessesary items for tomorrow when I spotted a beautiful katana. My katana bri=oke during my training with Tsunade. It was white and black with an inscription that I couldnt read. "Beautiful isn't it?" Someone said behind me. I turned around quickly and my hand went to my weapons pouch. When I saw that it was the owner of the shop I smiled sheepishly. "Sorry instinct." I replied rubbing the back of my head, he chuckled. "Thats ok, would you like to have that sword?" He asked me, almost looking eager. I smiled, "Yes but i'm afraid that looks far out of my price range." I said softly looking longingly at the weapon. "Take it as a gift, it used to be my wife's but she died soon after purchasing it. Now it just sits on that shelf as if it were a decoration. Such a shame to have it sit there and never being used. I want you to have it, you remind me of her so much." I look at him quizzically. "I see you run around with your friends much like she did she cared about everyone and everything deeply, I can tell that this sword would be perfect for you." He explained. I smiled softly and bowed, "I would be honored to have such a beautiful katana sir."

That night I worked hard with my new katana. I went back to my apartment and fell asleep dreaming of a reunion with Emi.

Today was the final exam and I was loaded with weapons I just hoped they were enough. I looked in the mirror, If I didn't know that I covered every inch of my body with weapons I wouldn't have seen it. I looked as if I was wearing normal clothes. I grabbed an apple and jogged to the stadium to finish the exams. I jumped onto the stage only to find out that Naruto had been chased by a stampede and that I have to fight a strange girl. Her name was Himitsu which meant secret.

She was never in the show so I had to find out if she was a spy or not. I walked up to her and clamped my hand on her shoulder. "Hey just came by to say good luck." I smiled while reading her thoughts. I was shocked at what I saw but pretended nothing was wrong. She only responded with a nod and walked away. I turned around holding in the tears knowing that Emi was here and she was the one who blamed me for us coming here and that she was going to try to kill me in our fight during the exam then try to kidnap Sasuke for Orochimaru.

I walked up to Naruto knobby-kneed and sat down slowly. Naruto just smiled at me with excitement on his face. I smiled back pretending everything was ok. Naruto though seemed to notice something was off about my smile. "You ok Asami? You have nothing to be worried about you're going to kick her a-" I covered his mouth before he spoke the curse word. "If you dare say a curse word in front of me I will be sure to hurt you in a very painful and permanent way." I said threateningly. Naruto gulped and nodded.

I slowly sat down again and sighed. "Sorry Naruto I just hate those words. It makes situations worse." As I said this one tear escaped my eye, Naruto didn't notice I felt someone's stare on me and looked towards them. It was Kiba, he looked worried I gave him a smile to try to ease his worry but it only made him frown. I suddenly notice Naruto was gone. How long was I staring at Kiba?  I wondered. I looked out onto the platform to see Two holes in the ground a smug looking Neji and no Naruto. I missed THAT much?!? I thought with shock.

I was now shaking horribly realising my battle wan next. Chie rubbed her head against my leg and whined. I looked down and rubbed her head, "I'm sorry Chie i'm just worried about fighting her hopefully I can beat her. She's been training with Orochimaru for a while now. I'm going to have tu use a few tricks including the summoning jutsu." Chie looked at me shocked then whined further. I looked ahead of me to see that Naruto had won. I took a deap breath and walked with Chie towards the platform. When I arrived Emi was already there.

She looked furious at the sight of me. I just smiled and mouthed. 'Hello Emi.' Her eyes widened and then they hardened. I just smiled sadly at her and prepared to fight. Finally I heard hayate shout "BEGIN!" and the battle begun. Emi stood there analyzing me. I threw kunai and shiruken at her. I made sure to stay away from Emi. I made it seem as if I was a long distance fighter.

Emi continually dodged and came closer to me. Short distance fighter  I knew I had the upper hand in this battle I could do both long distance and short distance very well. I still kept my connection with her mind reading every thought that cam to her mind. I never fell for her feins to the right or to the left I could tell she was frustrated. Finally I ran out of weapons and performed the Shadow posession jutsu hand sign and forced her to stop moving I did everything that was needed to make it look like I was using the jutsu. Emi looked furious that I won. 

"Do you give up friend?" I asked loud enough for her to hear. By the glint in her eye I saw that she was never going to give up. I sadly looked at her and forced her mind to shut down, leaving her unconcious. I ran to her and caught her and laid her body on the ground carefully. "She is unconcious." I said to Hayate. I turned around and walked up to Kakashi. He looked confused as to why I was so kind to my opponent. "That girl is Emi." I replied softly. I walked towards the others and was congradulated for winning. All the while having a fake smile on my face, and dying on the inside at being betrayed by my best friend.
