3 Weeks Later

If there was one thing that I was grateful that the League of Assassins taught me was that I knew how to disappear without a trace. I was sure that my mother was currently on the search for me and if the past three weeks have proved that she has failed. And I was also sure that the fact bad the blood in her veins boil.

Jumping from city to city not really finding the perfect place to stay. National City, Metropolis, Bludhaven, Coast and Central City not exactly places that I found exciting to stay in. No place good enough to get lost in, that was until I found Starling City. Not exactly a city that someone would find ideal to live in, however there was a certain essence in this city that felt right.

And now I stood in front of disgusting mirror in the bathroom of a gas station that was in even worse condition. I was running low on money now, money that I had stolen from multiple places in multiple different cities. However, stealing was beginning to become a burden. I didn't choose to leave the League to become a runaway thief. I looked in the mirror and was disgusted with what I saw. I still looked like the girl that I despised to be. The girl that looked a little to much like her mother. With her dark brown hair and green eyes.

I walked out of the bathroom and into the convenience store and l looked around for anything I might need. For the past couple of days I had been staying in an apartment who's owners seem to be out of town. And I was very aware that my time there would be ending soon and that I had to move on. hopefully to someplace more permanent. There were even days where I regretted leaving the League, because of he living comforts that it always provided. When I was there I had everything, except for what I really needed.

I had my arms full of foods I had never tried before, and other supplies for my personal hygiene. But I stopped as I looked at the rows of assorted hair dyes. Looking through all the colors I didn't know which one to choose, so I reached out for a random color that looked well on the girl in the cover. I didn't know why I was spending my money on something so meaningless , but all I wanted was to look in a mirror and not completely hate what I saw in front of me. To not look into the mirror and see more mother staring back at me.

It wasn't long before I was out in the streets of Star City once agin having to look for a place to stay the night. However, the fact alone the now when I looked at my own reflection I didn't see my mother's brown hair, brought me some some more determination to finally get off of the streets.

My newly blonde hair was messily in two braids and the clothes that I had just stolen weighed heavily on me. And although I was distracted with all these ideas of what I had to get out of this horrible situation I found myself in, I still knew I was being followed.

Three men had been following me since I had left a convenience store two blocks ago. I suddenly turned into an alley where I knew there was a dead end, and I stopped once I reached the brick wall stopping me from going any further.

"Wrong turn sweetheart?" A voice said and I turned around to where the three men were standing in the alley a couple feet away. They all had confident looks on their faces, and they were clearly proud of themselves think that they had me cornered like a defenseless animal. "Maybe your lost?"

"We can help you if you want?" Said another a greed and eagerness in his face that was revolting.

"And in return maybe you can help us." The third said and at this point they were so close that I could smell the stench of sweat and alcohol that clung onto them.
