Amber

Whatever it was moved into the dim light of a ceiling lamp. It was pretty tall, I could tell you that. It bumped the lamp.
"I guess someone didn't read the warning, eh?" A feminine voice called out.
I looked up to see a normal sized human being with about eight six foot spider legs sprouting from its sides instead of normal arms and legs. The damn thing had four blood red eyes that took up most of its face. The mouth with large needlelike teeth took up the rest. I could tell it was hungry. Strands of saliva that separated like cobwebs told me that its mouth was watering.
One of its legs tried to stab me right were I stood. I snapped out of my daze just in time before it crushed me. Its legs were as sharp as knives. I dove out sloppily. So much so that I ended up just doing a full on barrel roll for the next three attacks because I didn't have enough time to get up.
"What the hell are you?" I shouted after it like it would help.
     "A freak," it said, "I'm a freak."
"I'll never be one of those freaks," Kaitlyn said cockily.
"Shhhhh!" Jade said to her while butting her shoulder.
She yelped and moved aside her ponytail to rub the injury. "What?" She said.
"Amber doesn't  want to talk right now. Don be a loud." Jade whispered to her.
"Kaitlyn?" I said with tears in my eyes. Kaitlyn had gone missing on one of her mission shortly after I had gotten over losing him.
It stopped. "How did you know that?" It made a face that seemed to signal all of its past resurfacing.
"GOD DAMN!" It shouted as I stabbed the almost antidote into its side.  Would that help at all?
"They hate it." Jade's words ran through my head.
She dropped to the ground, writhing in her own pain as I ran to an emergency door on the other side of the dark room.
Tears filled my eyes. I'm sorry Kaitlyn. My sadness was quickly overrun by anger as the intercom sounded.
"Intruders located in the east and west gate on floor one," it said in a booming voice, "no research is to be conducted at this time. Please proceed to cover and allow security to eradicate them."
East and west? But I was the only one spot- NOAH!!!
Thoughts of how dead that kid was filled my mind as I continued to sprint to a hiding spot.
The rest of this trip was going to be hell.
