JAYDA

By the time I got back to Mr Lambert's house, which might as well pass off as my second home, I was instantly swarmed with a horde of messages from Celine. So much for making Mr Lambert or me delete messages quickly and easily.

Celine Gilbert: JAYDA

Celine Gilbert: ARE YOU DONE WITH CLASS?

Celine Gilbert: COME ONLINE I HAVE IMPORTANT TO TELL YOU.

Celine Gilbert: ARE YOU HOME?

Celine Gilbert: I meant are you at Mr Lambert's house but whatever SAME THING.

Celine Gilbert: ;)

This girl, I swear.

Me: Uh Cel, you do realise this is Mr Lambert's phone you're spamming right? Deleting messages is a tedious job you know.

Celine Gilbert: YOU'RE ONLINE OMG

Celine Gilbert: WHATEVER I HAVE VERY IMPORTANT NEWS FOR YOU PAY ATTENTION.

What now.

Me: Okay, what's going on Celine? WHAT'S HAPPENING?

Celine Gilbert: So earlier today during lunch break Martin, Mr Lambert and I sat down to discuss about how to switch you back into your body again and after trying to understand the chemical composition of your onyx pendant we finally found out how to reverse the curse.

Okay, I should really listen up now.

Me: Which is?

Celine Gilbert: We're gonna have to destroy it in sodium hydroxide solution.

Well then, but what would my mother say about this? Maybe Mr Lambert or I'll just tell her that we lost it; it sounded like such a suspicious lie, but it was partially true though, we lost the necklace to the sodium hydroxide solution Celine was talking about.

I stared down at Celine's message on the screen before typing out my response.

Me: I guess that's gonna work, as long as Mr Lambert and I finally switch back into our own bodies.

Celine Gilbert: Jay, you do realise it's your mother's birthday present to you right? You sure she's gonna be cool with it? Are you cool with it?

Me: I'll just tell her I lost it, or I'll get Mr Lambert to do it if the effect hasn't kicked in yet. If it means switching back into my original body, I won't mind giving it up. It was good while it lasted.

Celine Gilbert: If you say so Jay, we're gonna kick into plan coming Monday since Chemistry is the last class Martin and I have before school's dismissed. On Sunday night one of us will text Mr Lambert in the Emergency group chat a reminder to wear the necklace to school and I'll get it from him during lunch break. Once Chemistry class is done Marty and I would ask if we could take some time to "help him catch up on the earlier lessons", and then we'll destroy that junk and wait for the effects to kick in.

Celine Gilbert: Sounds good?

Damn right it does. The thought of me returning to my body and resuming life as the original Jayda Nicole Hudson again was already starting to get me excited.
