BEEP.
BEEP.
BEEP.

I sprung up out of bed quickly, and turned off my alarm clock. I was covered in a pool of sweat. Was that a dream? It felt so real. I thought.

I got dressed, brushed my hair and teeth, and ate breakfast. You know, the usual. But I couldn't stop thinking about my so called "dream." It was unlike any feeling I've ever felt before. I could actually feel the grass between my toes. I can't recall any other dream similar to the one I just had. Oh well though, I guess it was just a dream and I'm just over reacting. I can't sit here and analyze my dream all day. It's time to get the day started. I head outside my room, ready for my second day on Jorvik.

I make my way to the stall that Jewel is staying in. I pet her nose lovingly. It's crazy that I've only been caring for Jewel one day. It seems like I've known this horse forever. I almost feel as if we have a bond. I don't know how to explain it, but things with Jewel are just... different than they were with Juno.

Suddenly, Thomas runs toward me. His facial expression shows that he is distressed, and maybe just a bit confused.

"Something wrong?" I ask, concerned.

"A-a cloaked rider just came and took my original documents!" he paused for just a moment and then said "Those documents prove that I'm the rightful owner of this land! Without them G.E.D will get their slimy hands on this land without a problem!"

I'm very confused by all of this. A cloaked rider? Who would want to steal Thomas's documents... and why?

"Is there anything I can-" I was cut off when I noticed the cloaked rider speed past the stable we were in. Without hesitation, I quickly hopped onto Jewel's back and went after the rider.

Jewel and I rode faster than ever. We had to. I hadn't been here at Moorland stables for very long, but I already felt myself becoming attached to these beautiful stables, and to see them be razed to the ground to be replaced by condos? I'd hate it.

We rode past the bobcat's training arena, and then on to the fields. I never took my eyes off the rider. However, I did glance at the ground for just a second, and I noticed a faint glow on the ground, in the shape of a horse hoof. The mark had to be coming from the horse the cloaked rider was riding. I've never seen hoofprints with a mysterious glow. In fact, the more I focused on the horse, I noticed that its whole entire body was glowing. It was a very faint glow, it didn't stand out much, but it definitely wasn't normal. Perhaps there's more to this than just G.E.D wanting Thomas's land?

Focus, Natalie. I thought to myself. I can ponder the mysteries of Jorvik when I'm NOT chasing after a cloaked rider who stole the documents to Thomas's land. Within minutes, Jewel and I caught up to her. Now, I just had to get close enough so that I can grab the document from her hands.

Jewel ran faster and faster, and eventually we were side by side with the cloaked rider. This was my chance, I thought. I had to take action now, or the document might be gone forever. Without hesitation, I quickly reached over and got hold of the document. The cloaked rider fought for the document a bit, before I yanked it out of her hands completely. As soon as I got the document, Jewel began to slow down, and we started to ride back to Thomas.

As we approached the stable, I could see a sense of relief all over Thomas's face. He looked truly grateful that his stables were still, well, his.

"Natalie! Thank you, thank you so much!" I could hear the relief in his voice. I couldn't imagine the sense of panic he'd just felt within a few minutes. Imagine everything you worked so hard for, just being unexpectedly taken away from you all of a sudden.

"There's no need to thank me." I say, smiling reassuringly. He smiled gently back at me. I then remembered the strange glow I'd seen around the horse.

"Thomas, did you happen to notice anything strange about that horse?" I ask curiously. Something about this whole situation tells me that Jorvik isn't just a normal island. There has to be more to it, and I intend to get to the bottom of Jorvik's mysteries.

"No, I didn't notice anything strange. Why? Did you see something I should know about?" He asked me.

"No, no. I just thought it was strange. The rider's figure was very slim, indicating that the rider was most likely female. and, well, I haven't seen any female G.E.D workers anywhere." I lied. I didn't mention the glow I saw around the black horse. Maybe I was just going crazy, and in the heat of the moment, I thought I saw something that wasn't there.

"Hmm, you're right. I'll think about that." He paused for a few seconds, before finally saying, "Oh! Natalie! I completely forgot, what with all this stolen document business, but my son Justin wanted to see you. He's up in Silverglade Village for the day. Just follow the road past the Smith's workshop, and you should see it soon."

"Oh, okay. Thank you for letting me know." I smiled at Thomas just a bit, hopped on Jewel, and began riding towards Silverglade Village, where Justin was waiting for me.
