Julia:
"I am going where??" I yell. The nurse stays calm.
"Amity Mental institution," She says, "You are going to stay for 72 hours."
Erin:
I heard from one of the nurses that she will be institutionalized for 72 hours. I hope she is okay with that. I heard that sometimes it really helps people. I hope it really helps her.
Julia:
I am escorted to Amity Mental Institution in a police car. As I walk in, there are people playing cards and there is a radio playing classical music.
They lead me to my room, up an elevator to the 10th floor. I share what they call a "compound" with ten other people of varying ages. The compound is a sitting aria with two tables for eating and a few couches. All the rooms branch off from there. Mine is number 95. I look around the room. Just a bed and a chair and some drawers to put clothes. I wait for the nurse to leave then pick up a chair and smash the window. An alarm sounds. The nurse runs back into my room but it is too late.
I have already jumped.
