CHAPTER 24

"Are we finally going home? Nine o'clock na eh," wika ko kay Kun nang makalabas kami ng restaurant. He was standing beside me and is busy texting someone. Nang mapansin kong hindi niya ko narinig ay tinapik ko na yung balikat niya. That time, I caught his attention. He looked at me asking why I tapped him. I said, "uuwi na ba tayo? Anong oras na kasi. Baka umuwi ng maaga si Daddy ngayon, pagalitan pa ako nun," I repeated and explained.

He paused for a second and looked at his wrist watch. That was the only time he realized that it's already late at night. I raised my right eyebrow at him.

"Oh ano na? Don't tell me may pupuntahan pa---"

I didn't have the chance to finish my words because he already grabbd my wrist towards his motor. I took off his soft hands from mine. So what's with his sudden grabbing of my hand?

"Sorry Curt, but I just have to go to some place here in QC. Promise, it will not take us long. I just have to passed by there," he explained even if I didn't directly asked him. I sighed.

"Malapit lang ba 'yan dito? And promise me, hindi talaga tayo tatagal."

He nodded his head on me, "promise."

So after that we departed. It only took us 15 minutes then we arrived to our destination...

Noise, wild people, and the smell of cigarette.

Kumunot ang noo ko at nilingon si Kun na nakatayo sa gilid ko.

"Bar?!!" I exclaimed and looked at Kun in disbelief. He seriously dragged me into a place like this? What? Is this a miracle and should I be happy or is this something suspicious?

Kun never liked me to go into a place like this bur despite of that, I still go hang out in bars or party clubs and later he will scold me. But now he personally dragged me here, huh.

"Kuuuun!!" I started getting excited and looked at him. "Are we going inside?"

He looked at me with those sharp and scary stares which made me disappointed.

Talaga bang paninindigan niya na we're just going to passed by here according to what he promised me earlier before we came here? Wth.

"Bakit ba tayo nandito? Are you seeing Mirae again?" I asked because Mirae likes to hang out with a place like this and also, she lives here in QC. So maybe they got back together... without Kun telling me?

"Ofcourse not. Nandito yung ibang basketball players na magt-try out bukas. I told them na nasa QC ako so sinabi nilang dumaan muna ako para makita na din yung ibang sasali sa Basketball," he explained. I nodded my head twice.

Okay. Akala ko kung ano na.

"So... tara na. Kailangan kong makauwi na bago pa dumating sa bahay si Daddy," I said then grabbed his hands to go inside.

Good thing, I brought my school I.D to verify my age kasi ayaw akong papasukin nung bouncer, psh.

As we got ourselves inside, Kun scanned the noisy and messy basement area of the bar while I'm just standing beside him. He must be looking for those varsity players. He stopped looking around so I immediately followed where his eyes are looking at.
