Annabeth's P.O.V.
When we got to the water park, I saw the sign and well let's just say I wasn't impressed it looked like Wat R A D. 'I'm surprised Ares took his girlfriend here especially since I hear she's picky I suspect as much since she is the-' I was thinking but Percy interrupted my thoughts and asked a question and a said a statement that would probably get him killed
"How come Ares brings his date here? She probably doesn't expect much, I would hate to see what she looks like" I got worried
"Percy, give her more respect, after all, she can kill you with a flick of her wrist don't even mention her boyfriend Ares and her husband-" I was about to finish when he interrupted I'm really beginning to hate that
"She has a husband and yet she's dating wow she's really unfaithful. Who is she anyways?" he asked and of course, goat boy replies
"Aphrodite, goddess of love and beauty," he said dreamily, of course, he's in love with her most males are
"Let's get his shield and go please" I whine, wait for whine I never whine I think Percy is rubbing off on me
"Ok, but first let's get supplies from this gift shop," Percy said I didn't notice till now that Grover and Percy were over the fence
"Really you just had to leave me, such great friends," I said sarcastically, wow Percy really is rubbing off on me
"If you needed help you could've just asked" I rolled my eyes and started climbing up and over the fence I dropped down and stumbled before I hit the ground Percy caught me
"Careful there Wise Girl," he said and gave me a lopsided smile, 'Gods those eyes' snap out of it I can't believe what I just think
We got changed and got backpacks when we were done we looked like walking billboards "Ok Let's go look for the Tunnel of Love"
We looked all over when we finally found it me and Percy went down to get the shield, I saw him picking up a scarf and I knew what it was and I snatched it away from him
"What was that for?" he asked
"That's Aphrodite's scar, love magic is embedded within that, no love magic for you"
"Hey I picked the shield up and something was attached," he said and as I looked at the boat I realized why Ares wanted us to get the shield Hephaestus had rigged a trap
"Crap, Hephaestus rigged a trap for them that's why Ares wanted us to get it" I said (Italics them talking in Greek) and already a net was on top of us and spiders came out from the walls, WAIT SPIDERS, SPI-, SPID-, I froze (if you don't know the myth look it up I'm not explaining)
"Come on, Annabeth," Percy said I tried to move but couldn't
"SPIDERS!!!!" I screamed my head off I don't care I hate spiders there always after children of Athena
He pulled me onto the boat and I realized the cameras were live streaming to Olympus, oh great, when we were on the boat and the spiders were surrounding us I started to hyperventilate but then a wave of water probably caused by Percy came and washed us away and we calculated the jump me and Percy hurtled towards the ground with Grover
"Never again" I croaked
"I agree," Grover and Percy said in unison
We went back to the diner to see Ares and someone else, when we got closer I saw it was Lilith (oh bet you didn't see that coming hehe) I ran up to her and gave her a hug
Lilith's P.O.V.
I saw them coming and had to resist the urge to go to them turns out I didn't have to because Annabeth ran towards me and then Percy followed by Grover, when she crashed into me it took some strength to not fall after all she's only 12 and she doesn't have that much muscle
"Hey before you crush me to death can I hug my brother," I said and she immediately apologized and got off I then hugged Percy and ruffled his hair
"Ok now that were done with our hellos can you give me my shield," Ares said 'Gods why did they have to send me with him'
"Ares be nice that's why the gods sent me with you after all," I said and I glared at him a clear message said to be nice, he flinched and I smirked the only person who has a scarier glare than me is Athena and I hope Annabeth will one day
"Please," he said
"Can you help us?" Percy asked hopefully
"Yeah your ride is over there" Ares pointed at a truck that I know was disgusting inside
"He's lying I needed your help to free the animals in there your actual ride is me, the gods allowed me to give you a ride to Las Vegas, no farther I dunno why but I agreed because I don't trust him to give you a ride" I said and Ares glared at me I just punched him and he backed off rubbing his arm
"Ok so what's the plan," Percy asked
"Why dear brother I have a personality like you I don't do plans so we have one objective free the animals," I said and Annabeth laughed while Grover look seriously murderous
"Let's go" Grover said he looked serious, so we crept up to the truck I told Annabeth to see if the driver was there when she said the coast was clear I uncapped Earthquake and slashed the lock I told Grover to calm the animals down and tell them what we were doing and once he did me and Percy slashed with Earthquake and Riptide at the locks. When they were released they bolted away and sadly I had to return to Ares since he was my watchdog meaning I can't do anything without him other than vapor travel.
"Good job, you acted like a real team," I said
"Well now that you are done with that I'll meet you at Las Vegas" Ares directed at me he didn't even say a good job he's always been one of my least favorite cousins
"Come on, we need to get going," I said I held their hands and focused on Vegas I've only been once with my mortal family but it was hard to forget, I then felt my molecules spread like water
