Grover's P.O.V.
After seeing Lilith scare Ares with her glare I decided to not get on her bad side, but after we vapor traveled I was mad and went against my decision it was a horrible experience that I just had to tell her about
"Excuse me," I said angrily Percy and Annabeth looked at me shocked because I was rarely upset with people unless they were hurting nature, Lilith just looked at me with amusement??
"Yes Grover, oh and if your gonna complain about vapor trail it was either this or you let those animals suffer longer to get a ride here, so I'd think a thanks is in order" she said and my heart sank and I realized I was being selfish we made the right decision I was so stupid to think that
"Hey don't beat yourself up over this Grover trust me I was gonna complain then I thought about the animals and decided to not voice my opinion," Annabeth said and I then realized that it really was horrible since a Daughter of Athena realized it too
"I'm not I just feel bad because I was being selfish," I said and they dropped the subject
"So where do we go next??" Percy asked his sister and she looked sad
"I can't help you the gods have forbidden me, anyways there sending me on another quest I guess they need me to go so I have to leave my quest is here in Las Vegas that's why I was able to help you, " she said
"So you lied to us?" I asked before Percy could get angry cause I don't want anything to happen
"No, I did not"
"Prove it"
"I swear to the River Styx that I didn't lie, there happy?"
"Yep" I popped the p to get her annoyed but nothing her mask of expressionless was still there
"Anyways do you know somewhere we can stay," Annabeth said, I need to get Percy to say something before he regrets not speaking up
"No there are a lot of good hotels but on the other hand all those hotels have casinos"
"Well we just need somewhere to stay" just as Annabeth said that Ares popped up
"What are you doing here Ares?" Lilith said this in a monotone voice
"First of all no need to be suspicious, and I'm here to escort them to a nice hotel while you go on your quest, now, Lilith, I suggest you go before I tell Zeus you were reluctant to take the quest and you know how suspicious he gets" Ares looked smug and I just thought 'I bet he's hiding something'
"Fine I'll go bye Grover" she gave me a hug
"Bye Annie" she hugged Annabeth and when they let go Annabeth punched her in the arm
"Percy, I know your upset but please understand everything I do for the gods is so you can have as normal of a life that a demigod could have so please don't be upset with me" she went over and ruffled his hair and with tears in her eyes she hugged him he hugged her back and whispered something to her, she just nodded and Ares pulled her away from her brother
"You have to go," Ares said and Lilith then walked away
Third Person P.O.V.
As Lilith left she felt terrible because her brother said that he didn't blame her for what happened but he was sad that she didn't come see him and she wanted to tell him that she did but the gods took away his memory so they wouldn't have to punish her
Lilith headed north to the strip where hopefully she could retrieve what the gods wanted or needed and the two demigods, satyr, and god went west when they arrived it was The Lotus Casino that Ares brought them but little did they know that Ares brought them there to slow there quest down
Annabeth P.O.V.
When we arrived and walked to the front desk he handed us room keys and game cards, we headed up took showers, slept, ate and got changed after we were all rested and fed we decided to stay a little bit and look around when we went downstairs I saw the most amazing game it was about architecture but I saw a boy sitting alone so I talked to him
"Hi," I said a great conversation starter
"HI, my name is Nico di Angelo, do you like Mythomagic?" I thought he was cute he didn't look any younger or older than 8
"My name is Annabeth Chase, I don't know how to play Mythomagic can you explain it to me?" I was honestly interested and so he explained when he was done I thought it was so funny, his sister came over, well I assumed it was his sister
"Nico who's this" she looked at me and I realized I should introduce my self
"I'm Annabeth Chase he looked lonely so I was gonna keep him company but I'll leave now" and with that I left and played the one game that I thought was good, until Percy pulled me away and said we needed to leave and I realized what was going on 'were on a quest how could I be so stupid' I mentally face-palmed myself I was so idiotic, we got Grover and left with only a little difficulty
