I throw a fist in the air as I shouted happily "Yes!"
She laughed before shushing me up as the rest of the students studying nearby told me to keep it down.
But how could I?? I have a girlfriend now!!!
I caught her wrist and held her hands.
"Give me your number. I'll call you later." I said sliding my phone in front of her.

Skylar's POV
That's it? I have a boyfriend now? As much as it is thrilling now to know that I have a boyfriend and mind you, he is one of the most good looking ones in our batch and did I mention? A good singer. Gah.. I'm hyperventilating right now.
The way he smiles at me after knowing I agreed to be his girlfriend is just too cute.
I caught up with Chiqa in the girls toilet and she squealed the moment I told her about Mike. She held my hands tightly as she jumps in excitement.
"Omggg. You better get going!! He will call you!! Tell me how it goes tomorrow alright?" She said as we both head out.
I was hoping he was still around in the canteen but he was nowhere to be seen.
Oh wells. He's calling me later anyways.
I shrugged and walked back.
I plugged in my earpiece and enjoy the breezy walk home.
When I got home, I throw my bag on the sofa, hit the showers and ate some bread for lunch. I saw the note on the refrigerator.
Will be home late today honey. Don't wait up! -Mum
I took out my foolscap paper and write down my homework.
4pm...
Still no calls.
I decided to watch some dramas since I'm done with homework.
5pm...
Ugh. I'm sleepy but I'm holding on in case he called.
Didn't realise though when I actually knockout but the home phone rang. I jumped and rang over to the kitchen counter.
"Hello??"
The line had already disconnected.
Shit.
I waited and five minutes later.. Ring!!~
"Hello?" I answered, catching my breath.
"Hey.. sorry I just finished showering and stuff." His voice rang on the other end.
I am swooning over his voice.
Thankfully he could not see my face. He would have made fun of me if he knew.
"So you got home pretty late." I commented and he chuckled.
"Yeah. Was gonna head home when Ethan forced me to hang out awhile near my home." He explained.
"Ohh Ethan." I muttered.
"Don't worry. I don't usually hang out that much. Gotta help my mum out." He says.
And we practically talk about nothing. Just what happened in class and getting to know one another. As I was relatively quiet, he suggested a game. He sings and I will have to guess the name of the song.
I was wondering if he actually had singing lessons since he has good controls over his vocals.
He sang toxic, superstar, crush and a few other popular songs.
"You have a nice voice." I praised him and I heard him chuckled.
"Skylar.. you know I could sing to you everyday if you'd like." He said softly.
"Thank you Mike. I will have a good night sleep." I said, yawning.
Time check; almost 9pm. We talked bout two and a half hours? Woah.
"Wait." I heard his voice when I'm about to hang up.
"Yea?" I answered quickly.
"Erm.. I love you."
What am I supposed to answer??
I wanted to ignore but I don't wanna offend his feelings.
"Sky?" He calls my name and I answered, "I love you too Mike."
"I'll uh.. I'll see you tomorrow then." He said shyly before hanging up.
I jumped around the house before heading to bed.
Can't wait to see my boyfriend tomorrow. Ewww cringy much? Hahaha.
When I met Chiqa and Natalie at the junction, Chiqa jumped up on me demanding details about the phone call yesterday.
I shyly told her some of it and leave the sweet details to myself.
"Omgoshhhh. I want a boyfriend too!" She shrieked.
As usual, Mike was at the opposite block across our school. He waved at me when he saw me and I waved back.
But then I noticed the stares from the girls in their clique. I gulped and looked away.

I head to the toilet first before heading for our morning assembly. But when I got out of the toilet, I saw him goofing around with his friends. He look so good. Damn.
I was enjoying this moment so much.
But I don't know what lies ahead. I didn't know that being an average looking girl who dates one of the popular guys in school could get me into so much trouble and unwanted attention. But the one thing I dread the most? Being called names.
These girls literally made me feel small with their stares and whisperings. Slowly, when everyone on our level knows about Mike and I.. Even the girls in my class started whispering and glance at me when I walked in the class.
"I don't like this." I sighed when everyone left for break.
"So? You are not going to eat just because a few girls are jealous of you?" Natalie scolded.
"I hate feeling weak.." A tear escaped my eye.
And that's what I did exactly. I avoided everyone except for Chiqa and Natalie.
