#8 Her growing feelings.

"Hey girlfriend.. you are zoning off again. You should go rest. I will see you in school tomorrow." He says.

"I can't wait to see you boyfriend. I love you." I said it first out of nowhere and I gasped, hands over my mouth in disbelief.

"I love you too girlfriend." I could hear him smile.

The next day, school past by very fast. Maybe cause it's Friday. When the bell rings, everyone cheered and left class.

"Hey.. where are you heading to?" Jk asked me.

"Why? Tell Mike no cheating." I answered and bowed dragging Chiqa along.

Natalie didn't join as she is supposed to meet her boyfriend.

"I can meet you all later?" She said with a tinge of guilt.

"Stop it!! Enjoy your date." Chiqa chased her out, giggling.

"Why didn't you tell Jk or Mike where we are heading to?" Chiqa asked me when we are walking to the public library.

"I said if we bumped into one another, I would really believe it's fated." I answered and she swoons.

"You guys are annoyingly adorable. I wish I could get a guy who stare at me everytime I walked by." She exclaimed and I laughed.

We hang out at the library, working on our individual homeworks and personal blog. After spending almost two hours at the library, I checked my phone to see a few messages and two missed calls from Mike. I smiled as I hit the send button.

Skylar; Think carefully where would I go.. good luck finding me boyfriend.

A few seconds later, a message from Mike came in.

Mike; This is not fair. How does fate determine my feelings for you?

I shake my head at his rantings, putting my phone back in my pocket so I could scan the books I wanna borrow.

I got the shock of my life when I saw him and Trev on the escalator heading towards our floor.

"Shit." I muttered and Chiqa looked up in front and she squealed.

When he turned towards our direction, I dodged and hid under the counter. The girls beside me were judging my weird behaviour. I hope he did not notice me.

Chiqa squat down beside me and I told her to help me see if he is still there. She carefully stood up to see and signalled okay.
Phew.

We turned to leave and I told her we need to hurry get out of here.

"I knew it was you." His voice boomed through the entrance of the level as he waited on the other side.

I glared at Chiqa and she mouthed sorry.

I laughed nervously as I try to come up with a reason.

"I was shocked to see you out of nowhere."

"I kinda guess this is the only place you would frequent and fair enough.. now can I spend time with my girlfriend?" Mike turned to Chiqa.

"By all means. I was gonna head home anyway." Chiqa said smiling sheepishly.

"We can head home together. I live nearby." Trevor told her and she shrugged her shoulders. "Why not?"

"Mike." I whined.

He grabbed my extra bag and sling it as he walk closer to me. At times, his hands bumped into mine and at times it felt like he was brushing it against mine in purpose. When he notices that I don't push his hand away, he slowly held it.

I'M TELLING YOU. I'M FEELING A WHOLE DAMN ZOO IN MY STOMACH. NOT ONLY BUTTERFLIES. EVERYTHING ELSE THAT IS BEAUTIFUL. I FELT IT.

"Am I your first relationship?" He asked when we are halfway home.

I nod my head slowly.

"Oh.." Was all he said and he kept quiet all the way.

"Thank you. For sending me home again." I said as he passed me my bag.

"My pleasure." He said before hesitating to say something.

"What is it?" I asked him.

"Hmm." He looked at me for awhile before pulling me into his embrace.

"You are amazing just the way you are. Okay? I don't want you to be bothered by what people said or think about you. Understand?" He tighten the hug and I smiled.

"Understood. I will see you on Monday." I said waving goodbye.

However, he had this smile. A reluctant one. And I felt uneasy and worried.

Maybe it's just overthinking on my part. Hopefully it is..
